Time length would be 24 to 48 hours. I was thinking of DVR with motion sense?? Power seems to be the issue since a cord running to the camera needs to be "in character". I suppose battery powered camera and XMTRs wouldn't last 2 days???? Smoke detector and camera seem most useful since a high POV would be good for cash drawer and room entry. Thanks!

Thanks to all! Kalatel seems to be a pretty popular mfg on this newsgroup. Any recs on who to buy from? (I'm not yet in the biz, but a couple of fellas I know are doing well with alarms and want to add CCTV to their offerings. They asked me if I would want to help ramp up that part of the business since I have a video & PC background.)

Anyone make a DVR that you can dial into via telco? If so: I suppose you would need some client software loaded on the dialing PC? Can you play old files or only current activity? Can you PTZ? Thanks, Gene
