you ever seen these DVR specs?

Hi, just looking into WD1 or 960H as it is also known. What I can't quite get to grips with is if the resolution is 960H (or 960 pixels wide), why is the specification for the cameras only 928 x 576? Why is the a difference between 960H (960x576) and 926x576?
