Well, this always happens. As soon as I give up and post for support, I figure out the answer. I was able to figure out how to use the Swannview Plus software to change the fixed IP addresses of the cameras to match my WAN network. And now I am able to view the cameras on my Mac. Next step - NVR. Thanks for letting me post and subsequently figure out my solution!

Pardon if this has been asked, but I have searched high and low for answers, only to come up empty handed. I (regretfully) purchased one of the Swann NVR packages at Costco about 2 years ago. It sat unused for over a year, as I didn't have a TV to plug the NVR into to configure it. Finally, I got access to a TV and had the cameras installed on the exterior walls of my home. After configuring the system, I determined the NVR was far too loud for the only logical location I have. All of my networking equipment routes into a cabinet in my living room, where the NVR is simply too loud to ignore. I gave it a fair shot, and there's just no way. So I thought perhaps I would set up a non-Swann NVR (Synology DS216play) instead. In preparation, I attempted to set up the cameras through a POE switch. However, the IP address I'm discovering on them is completely different than my WAN. They are discoverable, but I cannot figure out how to get them onto the network. (I've downloaded several software packages, none seem to be able to connect.) Are these IP cameras locked for use exclusively with the Swann NVR? Am I wasting my time trying to get any use of this equipment at all? Thanks, in advance, for your help.
