  1. Yes. It cannot play. It's a proprietary mp4 video. And I need to burn it to a DVD or upload it to YT so playing it in VLC would be pointless, right?
  2. Hello Recently I purchased a DVR and 4 cameras from a local "spy" store. When I was picked up and paid for the DVR, I was never told anything about it (including warranty, size of HD and password for playback and export). Password I googled and the size of the hard drive I found out after viewing some of the videos. Eventually I will have to replace the HD as it's too small to hold video from 4 cameras and deletes the videos after a week. But my question is what software can I use (that doesn't cost $89 like cctvtools does) to change the video from proprietary mp4 to an AVI or mpeg file that can be burned or uploaded to YT. The playback software doesn't have an option to convert the video. The DVR is LTS (LT security). I asked the person who sold this to me and he stated "take it to the cops for viewing." The videos I have I don't want to go to the police or a lawyer yet as I'm building a case and do not want retaliation. If you need any other information, please ask me and I'll try to provide it. I have very little information on the DVR and even the 4 cameras he sold me.
