Hi there,
I am new to the forum, but I've been having a terrible time finding a replacement 4CH DVR system to replace my Samsung SDE-120N (also named SDE-3000N) System.
It uses the 6 pin analog connections from the Samsung Cameras.
The issue I am having, is that my DVR just stopped booting up. I replaced the internal watch battery, as well as tried replacing the internal hard drive with a brand new drive.
Currently, when I power on, I just hear 6 beeps, in a 123-12-1 succession. I am baffled as to what could be the issue, but I gave up on the DVR, and am now just trying to find a super cheap replacement that uses the samsung 6 pin mini Din connectors. I realize it now is somewhat rare, and super annoying. Everything I see either uses BNC or RCA, but not Mini Din inputs.
I entertained the idea of finding a super cheap DVR, then just using a Mini Din - BNC Adapter, but they seem to be hard to find and almost $25 each.
Does anyone know of any 4CH DVR that is available w/ simple VGA output that I can use that still uses the mini din video inputs (6 pin)?
I just put my house on the market and advertised my home for sale with a built in 4CH DVR security system. No sooner than 1 hour before the house was listed, we had a neighborhood power transformer blow killing power to the unit prematurely, and now it just continuously gives me the 6 beeps on startup.
Pulling my hair out over here just trying to get something before we go to close on the house, and I'm having a heck of a time.
Please dear god someone shed some light on my issue. I will be eternally grateful. Thanks!
I see the replacement unit for my DVR is $369 on ebay, but I'd rather not buy the same unit, as the support and troubleshooting for this unit are crap. I'd prefer to pay $150 or less if I can.
