DVR with dvd complient burner
CCTV_Suppliers replied to polarbear's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Thomas, I must of not read that part except the 120FPS.... Do you have DVR that could comply his request? I read 120FPS part without looking any further, but then again, I do not think any of the manufacturers could comply except may be Sanyo... Here is the Sanyo DVR specs Sanyo DSR-M814H120 Four Channel MPEG2 DVR 30FPS.. This model operates as quad and all four cameras showing in full 30FPS... but.. they do not support DVD burner yet (CD burner is an option) and are very expensive... -
DVR with dvd complient burner
CCTV_Suppliers replied to polarbear's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Closest that I can think of this one: CBC DR4NC 4 Channel DVR no hard drive and here are the basic specs: # Uses MPEG-4 Compression # 4 channel video and audio recording # 120 IPS recording speed # Up to 704 x 480 (4CIF/D1) resolution # Optimized MPEG-4 compression # 10/100 Base Network Connection allows remote viewing, playback and PTZ control # USB-2 Port for quick downloading to a thumb drive # Internal CD-R drive or DVD-R Drive for data backup # PTZ control (drivers for most popular models are included) You can add your own hard drive configuration (PATA drives) and your own DVD burner (Sony models work great)... Since this DVR has four available slots, once you occupy the DVD burner, then it allows you to add three hard drives... You easily take take the internal storage over 2TB, but the most common is 1.5TB (using three 500GB or two 750GB drives) -
Hey bud, I thought we are having fun, don't you think? As long as our good friend keeps up his good behavior, then we will never cross each other's roads...
-
Are you suggesting I would want to ask you for a job? My good friend Survtech - you do not have what it takes to qualify, so do not even attempt talking about this. I do not have to say more to you... you are not worth my time!
-
Looks like most were sold fairly cheap... What I have left is one Robot 9 channel duplex b&w new in the box (do not have the product right now and if interested, I will get it) and five Sanyo 9 channel color duplex multiplexers (MPX-CD93)... I will give them to you for $250.00 each, if interested...

Rooney, are you also part of SecurityInfoWatch forum? Here is the url: http://forums.securityinfowatch.com/index.php Fairly decent and specialized more for loss prevention professionals...

Thomas, I can understand your concerns.. Just trying help this member... and if he calls, then we can solve it for him... Can you please share for him how many posts he needs to place before he can upload info or to have access to PM?? -
I think we have few models that are still new in the box or open box with all the paperwork and manuals... some are 4 channel, some 9 channel and I think few with 16 channel... all different brands... How many channel multiplexer are you looking for?

tblake, sorry to hear this bud... The forum has specific rules and that is what causing this. I am sure this applies to everyone. Here is what I recommend you do... Please call me (800) 572-3390 and ask that you want to talk to Levon... They will transfer you to me... I rather not leave my e-mail for obvious reasons... I sent you PM as well, but looks like you can not get it... I do not remember how many posts you have to make to have access to PM... Can any of the moderators answer this question please??? -
We had a fairly good luck with Tokina lenses, yet another Japanese manufacturer of lenses.. http://www.tokinacctvlens.com/ They recently introduce IR corrected lenses that work very well...

It is the forum policy.. May be moderators will explain... -
Great observations... I am going to bookmark this url for future use... Thanks. As for "recommended" drives, just use surveillance version drives either from Seagate or from WD... they will works fine... The only difference is that Seagate offers five years warranty vs. WD with three years warranty on these drives.. so, pick what best suits your need.
-
Dependent which version firmware your system has, you are safe with 500GB drives.. If I had the chance that you do, I will drop in two 750GB drives and test it anyway... Another suggestion: contact Panasonic technical support and request the latest available firmware for this model... If it does not help for the hard drives (your current firmware should work), then you will have your system operating in its optimum format, as they fixed some flaws in the firmware in the last few years.. Let me know if you need any help on this DVR... Great choice when you got it and it still is one of the best DVRs in the market.
-
Lolo, your observations are totally accurate and I could not agree more.
-
My friend Survtech, stop sending you personal pictures and to attempt to scare us with them... If this is your response to my observations, then I do not have to say more... Rather focus on the topic of the discussion of this thread, which I am sure now that you are not capable to follow... I thought we are posting a response for a question that a user has asked and instead you want to take this to a different levels and show your intelligence level?... Man, you are doing a great job! Just keep up the good work... Looks to me that you are not what you claim anymore... Rather some individual without any knowledge or expertise of any sort in our business... I guess you are trying very strongly to persuade others, but will not and will never work for me... I called you on the challenge (actually two challenges in this thread and not including the challenge on the cable question) and you backed down... again... so, what is that say about you? You think about that my friend...
-
This from a person who works in a field that would not exist if it weren't for science. Amazing that you will trap yourself on the above comments of mine and unable to answer intelligently and yet pose no tangible answer. I do not have to say more on this topic, as you back peddled and did not care to prove yourself.. You think about that! And I did not attack you for your dislike of Pelco, rather for your failure to acknowledge that they produce products that are at least the equal, if not superior to, your recommendations. You did not attack? Well my friend, if your comments does not constitute a direct attack, then you should reconsider your writing style. Since Deluxecctv.com had already recommended the Pelco Spectra IV SD4CBW35, I saw no need to re-recommend it. But since you insist, I second the nomination. You are wrong again... The member of this thread is talking about a minidome and not a PTZ dome and he wanted to get opinions on similar products as MINIDOMES and not as a PTZ domes... So by seconding your opinion for this topic is wrong... Let's take your statement below: American Dynamics is far from "best of the best". Can you please elaborate where I state that American Dynamics is "best of the best" when their version of the minidome did not even make on the top of the list? I guess you can make assumptions without any facts, as before. AD sells a lot of products that would be considered average in quality. In fact, they are no better than Pelco in that respect. For that, they might be considered to be a suitable brand for many applications. But on the other side of the coin, you yourself have admitted a number of times that their Technical Support is poor. That's enough to remove them from the "best of the best" list. Again, I never said anywhere that American Dynamics products are "best of the best", but I can prove that they make better equipment and better technical support than Pelco. Can you? Yes, I dislike them. That dislike comes from far more than one Tech Support idiot's statement of "did we tell you that would work" to my explanation of the problem we were having with a piece of their equipment. You can add their failure to send a tech to our location despite 3+ years of requests by SeeVid and their incompetence in trying to sell us a product (Intelleview) that was basically vaporware at the time; and they knew it. I am not going to argue with you about a problem that you had with American Dynamics caused by few people and if this is what you are using not to like a company, then that is a something totally different that I am learning about you .... I have no real opinions on Bosch products except that they tend to be on the expensive side compared to their competition and their failure to demonstrate their products to us after many promises to do so hasn't earned my respect. If you do not have any real opinions about Bosch, then you should not make any judgments even about their pricing. Sanyo is another company that makes decent equipment but by closing the support department for their Casino DVR's, even while still selling them, they've basically spat in the faces of the many casinos who purchased their product. I agree, Sanyo missed the boat, but I still like them as they make one of the best hardware in the market. GE is GE. They do make some unique products and we have used some Kalatel and GBC-based products with reasonable results. Agreed! I agree that Panasonic is an excellent company. I have always liked their products, both pro and consumer. They don't always perform to "state of the art", but they have always been well made and reliable. Now, where is the area that you suppose to accept my challenges in the previous post? I knew that you will not... and I rest my case!
-
But not the Pelcos. You have made it clear that you dislike that company. But your dislike has nothing to do with the quality or capabilities of their products. My good friend in the casino industry - Please find below how clear I am or will ever be about your assessment above! Yes, I dislike Pelco and do not care for crap brand... Why do you care what I like or dislike anyway? You tried this same type of attack against me in a different thread and backed off very quickly when I called your bluff... and that still stands by the way, just in case if your forgot that thread. If I choose to run tests with what I prefer, it is none of your business... I state facts as I see it and can prove it and my dislike with Pelco, and yes I hate Pelco with passion, has nothing to do with this Post... Instead of attacking me on my dislike of a company and what they represent (nothing tangible), why don't you help the member to provide your version of what Pelco has that can complete with Panasonic's best, which I am sure Pelco has nothing close to anything that I recommended above! Do you want to start a separate post about Pelco by any chance? Lets scrutinize what makes Pelco a crap brand (which I am sure you will disagree) and I can prove it and it has nothing to do with their local rep, as you already know! Do you want to go for this opportunity to defend Pelco or may want to bring Pelco's best for this challenge? You know who I am and I'm willing to take this challenge from you or from Pelco, if so you desire! I call a brand as I see it and nothing less and I will call the spade a spade. Can you or are you capable to do the same? Or you like to just make comments without real facts, rather your theories and your obsession with Pelco? May be you can state your major dislike of American Dynamics that has nothing to do with the quality of their products, isn't it? Do you want to explain idiotic behavior of one American Dynamics rep in the East Coast diminishing your ability to take advantage of a decent product line? Or better yet, do you want a separate post about American Dynamics across the board? I am challenging you for open discussions about this company and all their products. Do you want to go for it? If you do not take any of my challenges above, then I know where you stand!

This minidome camera above is the best in its class... if you are comparing its performance in extreme light variation conditions, nothing comes close to its functionality nor performance... However... We run tests with this camera against best of the best from Bosch, Sanyo, American Dynamics and GE... The only ones that came close (not exactly the same performance in extreme conditions) were the offering from Bosch and Sanyo... Here are the models 1. Bosch VDN-495V03-20 Low-impact and impact-resistant models 1/3-inch format CCD imager 2.6-6mm, 3.7-12mm, 4.0-9.0mm, 3.7-12mm and 3.0-9.5mm model available Superior picture clarity in virtually all situations 540 TVL color resolution AC or DC operation Patented dome shape for 90º vertical view Extended sensitivity with NightSense Bilinx bi-directional communication This model from Bosch is somewhat cheaper and yet delivers exceptional picture quality during the day and night... However, if you test it against Panasonic model and in an environment where lighting changes frequently and requires better filtering (i.e. in warehouse when you open the back gates and require to see inside of the trailer while you have light variations in the middle and the sides of the picture), then Panasonic model takes the lead... 2. Sanyo VDC-DP7584H Vandal Proof MiniDome with w/Heater Module No Focus Adjustments Required Built-in X2.6 motorized zoom pan-focus lens, f=2.8-7.3mm (F=1.9-3.0) 1/4â€

568B and the product code is referring to Panasonic minidome, mainly used in outdoor applications.. and this is not a full fledge dome as WV-CS954A

Hey bud, let me give this a shot and by the way, welcome! -
After installing this new web browser, looks like I have a lot more hard drive activity than when Chrome is in operation... Initially I did not pay any attention until I noticed that every time it is up and running, looks like it is doing something at the back end... No way that I could confirm what are they doing... I am going to look into this hard drive activities using both of these web browsers, regardless one is the derivative of the other...

Has anyone started using this new web browser yet? http://www.google.com/chrome/index.html?hl=en&brand=CHMG&utm_source=en-hpp&utm_medium=hpp&utm_campaign=en I started using it as soon as they had this latest version... it is fast, very fast... actually it is faster than Opera that I have been using along with Firefox... and Opera was faster than Firefox... What is great about this new web browser is that it eventually could be part of the Google's Android platform, which right now is being tested with some limited hand helds...
