We are looking to upgrade our DVR for better recording clarity (in conjunction with replacing/upgrading cameras). Our partner wanted to try a cheap Annke first which has been nothing but issues for us for remote viewing using XMeye.
Remote view is essential to our business as there are two business partners in opposite ends of the state plus a local employee who is on and off site as needed (and camera monitoring from home allows him to know when his attention is urgently needed to reset equipment that has gone into error mode).
Our key needs are:
24+ channel input
Ability for 3+ simultaneous live streaming viewers of all cameras (would prefer more so we could each use more than one device without needing to logout)
Continuous record will be utilized for all channels, but need to be able to perform search for motion events that occurred during those recordings via remote playback
Remote download of video is required (when issues arise to document/send to police) and preferred to be straight to avi format.
Ability to use existing analog cameras and upgrade over time to higher definition. *Majority of cameras are outdoors and located some distance from each other covering large property and numerous buildings
Trying to be in the $800 or under range while still have satisfactory capabilities and having trouble finding the right fit. Any suggestions for brands/models or is spending in the mid $1K going to be a necessity?
Also we aren't technical when it comes to the remote viewing setup- Our previous DVR had a static IP we were able to access remotely simultaneously without issue. If we manage to figure out how to set up the Annke DVR and our router to be accessible via the internet will we still have simultaneous logon issues? I can't tell if simultaneous viewing is restricted only when using the cloud services the various DVRs suggest or if it's a restriction of the DVR itself regardless of how the footage is accessed.
Help please!
