I've been burned with Foscams and now a Huisun PTZ v1 and would appreciate your guidance to get beyond the "lottery" of getting a dud.
What camera would work well for this set up:
- mounted externally on house pointing at road approximately 50-100 feet away (so I think I need a zoom around 5x)
- RELIABLE motion detection night and day time
- stores photos via FTP
- capable of capturing license plates
- ethernet wired connection (WiFi is unreliable)
I favor bullet cameras, I don't need PTZ or tracking - I just want the camera to take HD photos of cars that drive through a fixed place on the road.
The Huisun PTZ v1 had great resolution and the zoom, but the motion detection was lousy. I'd like to spend $200, but the question is really to get the above what does it $take?
