Hi, I'm configuring the AVTECH AVM542B ipcam for my uncle and it's working perfectly. Only thing is that at the moment we have to use the 'Videoviewer" app to record videos in Windows. While Windows is really stubborn and sometimes just automatically reboots, even though we've put that option off everywhere in windows, it just neglects it. Problem is after a reboot you have to log in with a password, so the videoviewer app won't start before you've logged in into Windows. Besides that you have, when you open the videoviewer app, to click on the the cam you want to see. So not something you want with a cam that has to record day and night. I've now configured the 'network share' option in the cam and the cam can find it, but it refuses to write to that location. On the record settings i've set the option to yes with the timer and selected all the week to record. Still nothing happens. How can we solve this? Or is it better to record to ftp? Or won't that work either? It's very annoying that we have to run an app to record from the cam. We really want to get rid of that.
