Hi from Georgia (USA)
I'm a retired electrical engineer and have been playing with surveillance systems for about 6 years. Strictly home based for personal use.
My current DVR is a RayVision (US Security Solutions) RVH1016D and has been a solid performer until the last few weeks.
Now the DVR can't get past the "System Initializing" screen. And it appears the manufacturer is no longer in business.
The system hard drive spools up and there is some initial head motion but that's it.
I also tried a USB memory stick on power up (with the operating system installed) but no luck.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Update 10/20/16
Problem solved. My primary drive died.
FYI - US Security Solutions is alive and well. I could not access their website due to technical difficulties. They responded to my email same day and pointed me in the right direction.
Their support has always been fantastic and I am glad they are still with us.
My DVR has been running 6 years, 24/7 with 16 cameras and this is the first issue.
Great product and great support.
