Hi im about to take on a installation that has around 120 cameras & im after some realistic advice in terms of the camera network ect system is all Avigilon & will consist of x2 Avigilon 36TB standard NVRs with ACC6 enterprise, no fail-over at this site x3 2 monitor workstations x43 2mp H4A x7 5mp H4A x22 2mp H4 PTZs x10 12mp 360 x32 2mp H4 SL x1 16mp Pro Site will have network switches located around the site, connected back to the server room via fibre. movement profile on 80% of cameras will be in the low detail, low motion profile ive done 50-60 camera installs in the past without a problem but the size of this i thought it would be best to ask before making a bad choice HDSM SmartCodec option in the compression settings will be set at medium for 90% of cameras im thinking ill split the cameras between both NVRs keeping camera bandwidth in mind, so my question is should i just keep them all in the same IP address range ie: 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.120 & have the 2 NVRs with 3 of the 4 NICs per NVR connected to the one switch in the camera server room? or should i be isolating the cameras onto different networks/switches? The camera network will be completely isolated to the client network ive undertaken the tutorial in the partner resource center "NVR-3-Standard and NVR-Premium best practices for 1 and 10GbE networks" so im a bit confused after the tutorial Cheers Andrew

Hi all I’m designing a job and am going to quote for ACC 5, I’ve looked on Avigilons web site for server specs which they have but don’t really provide much detail about drive configuration, i have also contacted there tech support & our Australian distributor but they only sent through a data sheet for a r520 & wouldn't provide any real detail i plan on using a r530 with around 20TB of storage after RAID 5 or 6 I know with other VMS’s the system is split into the live database & the archive volume, also in the live & archive volumes the drives need to be formatted to certain specs eg: NTFS with 64k segment sizes with a drive strip size of 256KB or 512KB Below is a typical setup for a server running a VMS that ive had experience with, is this required for ACC? or can ACC run the OS & application on a SSD or SAS & use sata drives for the storage? Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4 x2 8GB RAM x4 NICS Os & application volume x2 300g SAS drives RAID 1 Live data base volume x3 300g 15k SAS drives RAID1 or 10 Achrive database volume x5 6TB NL SAS drives RAID 5 or 6 ive seen avigilon offer a few different models of NVRs, im expecting with the above specs it would acheive 450Mbps in & out, any thoughts? 256Mbps 450Mbps in & out 1350Mbps Cheers Andrew
