Kalatel speed dome protocol dip switch settings
randychnr replied to finalsight's topic in Security Cameras
you know i've installed about 20 of these domes and i cant recall anything about protocol but let me dig a little deeper and see if i can find anything. have you tried calling tech support. i know it runs off of RS-422 so if your controller use that then it should work -
Kalatel speed dome protocol dip switch settings
randychnr replied to finalsight's topic in Security Cameras
here is a link to GE site for the camera with manuals and all. 1 tricky with these cameras is that when you address the camera you have to set dipswitch 1 number below the camera number. meaning if with your controller you select camera 1. dipswitch setting will be 0. http://www.gesecurity.com/portal/site/GESecurity/menuitem.f76d98ccce4cabed5efa421766030730?selectedID=16680&seriesyn=true&seriesID= -

Wavereader+Wavebrowser not working for StoreSafe Pro II
randychnr replied to Neel_p's topic in General Digital Discussion
sounds like your just connecting over the local area network, correct? have you ever connected to another storesafe with that computer? what i am thinking is pc might not have all reqs. just a thought. if you are just on local network. the ports are not gonna matter if he is connecting from internet than it is not a port issue because he is connecting to unit just not getting images. -
not to sure but i will be installing 2 system in about a month so i can post about them then. from what i have seen it seems like it has a lot of potential

Day night camera not functioning correctly
randychnr replied to millertech's topic in General Digital Discussion
doesnt sound like a DVR problem at all. i mean the DVR just takes what the camera feeds it. i think it depends on the brand and you have to look at the camera spec. because i know for a fact the the amp draw increase a bit to light up the IRs. i would have to agree that it sounds like a power issue. i have seen some cameras that the draw can go from 500ma to 1.5 amp draw so i would for sure look at that and if specs dont show it post the brand and model number or call tech support. good luck -
the DVMREs dont work with firefox or IE7. i have called tech support awhile back for this exact ?. unless they have changed something which i doubt since they are phasing out the DVMRE series. IE6 work with active x

hey everyone i am a manager for a security systems company in hawaii. integrated dept. and i've been working with CCTV for about 11 years. today a news crew came to our office for a promo and they are asking for some video from their interview from our CCTV system. we are using ge storesafe pros and i have pulled the video from the dvr but as i knew it would come out as a .20d format video. now i have never seen anything that can do what i want but i thought i'd asked anyway. is there anyway to convert the .20d to anyother video format that they might be able to use. any help would be great. very urgent they want it by tonight and i just found out about it about 3 hours ago. been googling ever since.

CCTV Customers want Access Control
randychnr replied to sbbamafan's topic in General Access Control Discussion
i totally agree i just finished there class in maryland and evertything is pretty straight foward. they also have a dvr that can integrate with their access sys. for something cheap i might look at passpoint. -
i've used nuvico a bit and they are ok but yes they are cheap. the biggest problem i have is that about 80% of what i have in the field have come back with HDD failures. and nuvico doesn't acknowledge that there is a problem with them so i problaby would try the other one you mentioned.
