I need to attach BNC connectors to RG 59 direct burial cable for my home system, and have been having an awful failure rate with compression fittings. This seems to be linked to our current roll of direct burial cable as a previous one only had a few failures while setting up numerous cameras.
I now have a set of twist fittings ordered through Amazon, but accidently ordered RG6 twist fittings at first (and can't cancel the order). So we'll have RG6 twist fittings here on Monday, RG59 arriving Wednesday.
Can RG6 fittings possibly be used on RG59 direct burial cable? If so, what are the watchouts in using them instead of RG59 fittings?
Thanks!
