  1. Hi, I have a brand new installation using 3 Hikvision DVRs. 1 x 16ch 720p, 1 x 32ch 720p, 1 x 16ch 1080p. There are 16 analogue cameras connected to the first DVR, 32 analogue cameras connected to the second DVR, and 7 analogue cameras connected to the third DVR. In addition I am connecting 3 x 2MP IP cameras through a POE switch. All of the above is then networked through another 8 port switch connected to a new PC. The specs of the PC are 8GB ram, i7 processor, H110 motherboard, 2GB Graphics card. When viewing the live view and recordings through my PC it continuously "hangs" as well as being very difficult to access specific dates and times of the recordings. The software version is iVMS-4200 (v2.5.1.7) Is this normal ? or can somebody recommend a solution ? When accessing the live view and recordings through the DVRs directly it all works fine. I would appreciate any help.
  2. Thanks for the tip. I have gone and connected only the 32ch 720p DVR directly to the PC. Then I do a playback on 1 single analogue camera and the software seems to perform much better. As I add more cameras into the playback there is a noticeable difference in the functionality of the software i.e. the more cameras I add in, the slower the software responds. I am struggling to customise the view and so therefore can only go as far as a 16 camera view at this point. When I do the 16 camera view it is still manageable, but there is definitely a deterioration. I imagine that if I then did 32 cameras it will be quite terrible. Am I correct in assuming that the problem is therefore with the PC ? Also, my concern is that I need to eventually run all 3 DVRs (64 cameras) on the PC and I am going to want to be doing remote accessing via a smartphone. I understand that the access via my smartphone will be constrained by the service provider on the phone etc... I also want to be able to have a 64 camera view running on the PC permanently for the security officer. It is a new PC (2 weeks old) with the following specs: Windows 10 8GB DDR4 Ram Gigabyte H110M Motherboard i7 6700 Skylake processor Geforce 730 2GB Graphics card 1GB Gigabit PCI Express Network card Can you give me further advice ? Thanks in advance
