I am trying to run GV800 v8.3.1 on Windows 7, everthing looks ok, except recording. When I turn on recording, it prompts an error message " detect record abnormal! codec missing.......try reinstall multicam..." So the system will not record!! And I have tried reinstall the program many times, same problem. i have 2 harddisk, one with Windows 7, the other with XP. When I switched back to XP (by disconnecting Windows 7 harddisk), it runs perfectly without any errors. Any idea how can i solve this problem ?

I am using GV800 v8.1, with 4 cameras in the office. I use both the and to view remotely from my house using a broadband internet. I noticed that viewing by always give a smoother video compare to viewing through IE. IE sometimes take many seconds before I can see the next frame of image. I have no problem with the speed when I am viewing it on my LAN with both TCP and Webcam. My Question, which is the best server setting to use ? Should I use TCP or Webcam or MultiCast? I hope someone out there could help solve the puzzle. Thanks.
