    Freezer Camera

I have used our 36IR bullet in a walkin freezer and it is still working, have also used the Nuvico IR bullet and works good. Neat to watch when the lens cover frost over and the IR kicks on and defrost the cover.

    AVTech 717 poor picture quality

I am not familiar with this system, but what is the resolution settings of the dvr, camera quality settings on the dvr? if you max these you will have less record/ storage time but the picture should improve.

What are the runs for the camera? Gauge and Length?
  6. Those systems don't have embedded OS so they don't have a flash drive, they store on the HDD's and as CCTV_Suppliers has said you can copy the HDD's with almost any of the available copy utilities and not have to worry about any of the settings.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

    OMG, another camera selection question.

I would follow Scorpion's suggestion and stay with the 1/3" CCD camera, as to the DVR, there are a lot of good stand alone units. Depending on where you are going to place the unit will also decide what you want to use.
  15. Might want to look at the refresh rate of the lcd's compared to the crt.

    Recommendations Please

The Nuvico uses a CMS client software and is capable of handling several DVR's via network, I believe there are several others that have a similar software system or you can check this post....http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2997&highlight=multiple+displays+multiple+dvrs for more information.

    FPS setting

I have set DVR's from 1 pps to 30 pps depending on what you are trying to capture, in just a movement type of system, watching for movement to or from something, then anywhere from 1 to 15pps is good, if you are watching for slight of hand movement then upwards of 15 to 30pps is needed to capture a screen shot of what happened. So it depends a lot on what you are trying to capture, if it is just to see what changes and not an exact how the change occures then lower the pps. Hope this helps.
