With a composite LCD monitor should have a video in and out, run the camera to the in and then out to the dvr card. -

Security Cameras Direct WDR camera and Computar lenses.
RickA replied to nickfarwell's topic in Security Cameras
Check to see if there is a switch on the camera for dc/ video depending on the type of lens, you need to set the switch for the lens type. Hope this helps -
Visible camera's are a deterent, but there is a few individuals out there that do not care rather there is a system in place or not, they are going to do what they want, covert systems are for those cases when you want to keep an eye on the insiders (employees) that may take advantage of their position to help themselves. Best to take advantage of the system and use the camera's to your advantage.

Does this camera have a dip switch for day, day/night, if so check the switch setting.

I would try a regulated power supply 12vdc at 1 amp, I have seen this when testing cameras and not supplying enough amperage.

"For those of you with law enforcement problems I have a suggestion on a covert camera that would be great, but I do not want to post this suggestion in the "open". Post here then I will PM you with the suggestion." Does this sound like someone who has experienced these situations, and all along I thought He was a law abiding honest citizen.

Opinion: My experience with the AV-760M (so far)
RickA replied to odd ballz's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I for one have not had a DVR that would work well on CS setting, mine have all been either Master /Slave drives, but then I usually stay away from the AVC DVR's. That is Scorpion's domain, and if we gave you the idea we are angry or upset then sorry. Sometimes we get carried away with ribbing each other. -
Hey Scorp, now you can put the smiley next to your name, your official now.

Hey Scorpion, I have never seen you so riled, he definately pushed the wrong buttons. But I will tell you that you have hit some very good nails in this novel, we do work for a living and we do need time to spend with our families, and if we do not show our appreciation for you, then I for one am sorry, because without your input on some of these topics Rebco would have to work harder. Sorry I had to put that in, but I do agree with ya Scorpion. -

accessing Avtech DVR from Linux [Ubuntu]?
RickA replied to Merlin's topic in Digital Video Recorders
As a ubuntu user also, you might want to try Wine and install the e server there and try it to connect, I don't have any AVC dvrs to try out so I cannot do any of this. -
OHHHHH!!!!!! I did not need the mental picture.

Message from Scorp's wife..."Keep hat on" make some money. ROFLMAO!!!!

I bet that hat has not been off his head for at least a month Aside from that, what are the chances that he has stumbled on something that works.
