As long as the ip is different for each dvr ie: 192.168.2.10;192.168.2.11 then it will be kept seperate that way.

Very informative, hopefully anyone who reads the first will be a little able to distinguish opinion from fact.

http://www.ezscreen.com/ip_ratings.htm This is a good link for IP ratings and IP66 is alright for outdoor, IP67 is better, for IP65 would only use outside in a protected area. Hope this helps.

Check the meritlilin website for more info, maybe even check with support there and ask about the software for controlling the ptz, but according to the manual the ptz will work with most s/w that is available.

Got a preview on a new standalone DVR that we are going to be testing, and this one was impressive. Has 264 compression, realtime record and playback in D-1, mouse support, IR remote, digital zoom in playback, the only thing is that this is only in 4 and 8 channel models, 16 channel is not able to do realtime. Looking forward to getting this one and putting it through it's paces, oh yeah it is networkable too.

Google search turned up this info http://www.meritlilin.us/pdf/7000CSE-5.pdf?osCsid=601925eea06cb531f014e49a9fc5a196. This is a link to the installation manual, according to this the ptz will work with your software or you can use the Li Lin software. Hope this helps.

According to my search this unit works the same as the Robot MV-96 mux, the pic looks a little different. You should have two connections to the vcr, out to in and in to out, if you select live view then you should be able to see a multi screen on monitor, if you select vcr or tape then it will sequence the camera views till you push playback on vcr, then it will p/b in multi screen format. Hope this helps.

Hey Scorpion where is your foil hat with lightin rod attached?

Security DVR's record in various time modes and settings ie motion, alarm, schedule and at various resolution. Depending on the client needs will depend on how we do the settings, but a security DVR can record at 30fps which is close to realtime. If you are recording live presentations for dvd quality will require a dvd recorder and camers, this enables keeping the video and the audio in sync. With security dvr's the audio and video will smetimes lag. Hope this helps.

Nuvico ev4000 series will do 3 frames per minute according to the menu, and I believe the other models also have that option. Hope this helps.
