I think we need to know what type of camera and lens, it might be a dome camera or a bullet and then it's a different type of mount completely, but it does sound like a backfocus issue.

Did you ever get the model # of the cameras? Looks like some we used to carry.
-
Just checked on that Ganz housing and you can get just the housing with heater/blower.
-
Usually a set of switches to select AGC, Backlight, DNR, etc,,,, Most of these are on the cb and you have to remove the barrel to get to them.

YEAH THE jv SERIES IS PICKY ABOUT THE DRIVES, BUT THE SANDISK AND THE PNY BOTH WORKED FOR ME.

From what you can see the cameras all look like IR bullet with fixed lenses, and I would guess that none were setup by setting any of the dip switches. Need to check for a pro in your area to do it right.

The seals on this camera appear to be very good, set it up outside in time for the storm that came through this area and stayed dry. Temp variations so far have dropped below manufacturers specs and still working good.

are these cables recommended?
RickA replied to texasdyme's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Power distribution cable, have something like that on some Public view monitors that we are testing, distributes power between the monitor and the camera that is attached. -
Do you mean USB thumb drives? Then NO we have not had any problems with any that we have used. Sandisk, PNY are two that come to mind right off the bat that work, 256MB to 2GB.

Lol, sorry bout the vandals, they do make a small camera recorder that looks like different things, smoke detector, motion sensor, clock, but don't think something like that would help, not enough light probably.

With the prices dropping on standalones and the dependability, I vote for standalone.

How far away is your truck from the possibility of having a camera shot?

A big dog setting in the seat of your truck is what he was implying.
