Can remember driving a Beetle and putting an electric heater in the car at night and running an extension cord to plug it in, don't know if that would help, but it definately had the car interior nice and warm in the morning.

Depends a lot on where you are, I have used Direct LVS for a lot of different brands and equipment www dot directlvs dot com. Course now I don't do much in installs, but I do like to keep others in mind that helped me.

Does that mean we need a count down clock too? Well just two more weeks and we will see!!

We carry a 14" monitor/dvr combo unit that might be what you are looking for, check it out at the pegasus cctv site. Hope this helps.

Radio Shack, Lowe's, Home Depot all carry a decent strpper for cable and usually less than 25$. Takes a couple tries to get the handle on using, but works good.

Would think that if they check out the contest rules they would see that the contest is open to anyone that is registered to this forum. As far as I can tell you don't even have to register on our site to check out the prizes either.... so why is it so difficult to register for the contest?

We have used the Panasonic WV-CP484 camera's with good result with the Nuvico NVDV-4 DVR's. The nice thing is that you can always upgrade your DVR with ease, not saying you will have too, but easier to upgrade a DVR than replace camera's.

Help ASAP with time lapse VCR trasfers
RickA replied to labarr2001's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
[i have never had problems with time lapse, have played back on samsung and mitsu from sony and mitsu, Most police stns here have dif brand to what we sold and installed, As long as its time lapse and played back in the same format - 8/12/24hrs/24l it will work, ] I agree with Inner Range about the vcr, as long as the orignal unit was properly serviced and alignment was good it should playback on almost any timelapse vcr, and there are a lot of options in software and hardware to convert to DVD, Hope this helps. -
I go on vacation for two weeks and come back, and no new entries on the contest.... Sorry Rory, if ya weren't moderator, then shipping to the Bahama's might have been there. And the Boss told me that I cannot enter either, I could have used the monitor in my apartment too!! Hope all had a Great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Look at the nvdv4 and then compare with others, should give you a good idea on what to look for.

Need to get mjpeg video off Nuvico DVR....

Post subject: RickA wrote: Yep have met a few of them personally, we have done a lot of installs with the nvjv and nvdv line of DVR, and the nvjv series is a pain to get stuff off, usually use the usb drive with my laptop to put on cd or dvd, have to put on thumbdrive then on laptop and burn to cd. Took two days and two trips to Radio Shack and Best Buy to get the right equipment, felt like a fool... FYI, newer USB flash drives will not work, i.e., bigger than 2GB. Or if it has pre-installed software, you need to uninstall first. Yep was why the two trips to Radio Shack and Best Buy to get the right equipment and the two days.... -
Images per second-IPS/Frames per second-FPS usually indicates record or capture rates per camera per second, with 8 cameras at 30 FPS you would need a DVR that is capable of 240 FPS. Hope this helps.

what standalone does everyone like under $2,000
RickA replied to acableconnection's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Or wall racks with the tapes in them. What a lovely time we had!! -
I will agree with the novel writer, but I will say there are alot of very good stand alone DVR's that will work for your requirements. Including our own PDVR-8CD-600N, or even Nuvico's NVDV4-8750, or the NVDV3. You will have to check the DVR's out and decide on your own though. Everyone of us have our own preferences, but the one thing we do agree on, is that if you use one of any of our systems and we can help, we will.

Iris level- adjustment for the auto iris lens....AGC-automatic gain control...BLC-back light control....FLK-flickerless....ALC or ELC- do not need to change, should be preselected for type of lens....Mirror- reverses the image on the screen....P/G- ?? cannot find a listing in the manual for this. What is the complete part number for your camera? There are several sites that have the manual for the Speco PTZ HT-650, if that is what you have. Hope this helps.

Yep plenty of time yet, just trying to see if anyone is interested or not.
