Can you believe it, I reread the contest rules and they even put in free shipping, what has to be done to get anyone to do an entry? Must be waiting for a million dollar offer... as if that's gonna happen!! Wish I could enter.. I could use a freebie or two myself.

Try sticking 2 or 3 dessicant packs inside to see if that will dry it out. -
Don't you have a Handheld monitor to use for focus and adjustments, that is what I have used, just connect at camera and there ya go!We carry one on our site, and I am sure there are others on the forum that also carry them, This is the link to our Service monitor that we carry, and I have used one when I was doing installs, [edit by mod-link removed], Hope this helps.

The only suggestion that occurs to me is to check for a monitor with the mirror option in the menu.

Without knowing a little more on the camera requirements, there are a lot of camera's on the market that will fit the general specs you have laid out. You can take a look at the ones we have or any of the suppliers here on the forum. I am sure that we can provide suggestions on camera's if you provide some more info, such as types of shots, locations and lighting conditions.

Thanks for the input, we have three we are testing and comparing to the GE, so far they all do better than the GE.

Quite a mixture of cameras, part of them are 1/4" ccd and 1/3" ccd with zoom camera and PTZ camera, IR camera and space dome. Looks to be all Yoko cameras. Have not used any of these, but the ones I have used have been good.

Here is a link to the manual http://www.boschsecurity.us/pdf/EN/Adome_II_43816.pdf Hope this helps.

Nuvico DVR"s have covert camera selection which would not show on screen unless you have the password to see them, and if you use just one DVR then less chance of curious eyes wondering what the other is for. We have had good results using the Nuvico cameras, just depends on what the requirements are for the camera's.

Need to get mjpeg video off Nuvico DVR....
RickA replied to megavolt512's topic in General Digital Discussion
Yep have met a few of them personally, we have done a lot of installs with the nvjv and nvdv line of DVR, and the nvjv series is a pain to get stuff off, usually use the usb drive with my laptop to put on cd or dvd, have to put on thumbdrive then on laptop and burn to cd. Took two days and two trips to Radio Shack and Best Buy to get the right equipment, felt like a fool... -
Need to get mjpeg video off Nuvico DVR....
RickA replied to megavolt512's topic in General Digital Discussion
Nuvico is in the US but still Korean, if you call you will see, but they are usually helpful. Like the everybody else learn by doing, now you know to research the DVR before going.. I know the hard way too! -
Worked with these when I was still an installer, very nice systems, but did not stand up, started having software problems and did not get them corrected fast enough for the customer to continue with them. The tech support was very good, and the training for the systems was good.

I.E. TAB a plugin for firefox is available and should work for that app.

Question and Caution On MG Electronics Power Supply
RickA replied to Gyro Gearloose's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Do you have the heater/fan add on with those domes? The spec sheet calls for an extra 20voltamps with that addition, which would put the range above 1amp per camera. -
Greetings Dominic, and welcome to the forum
