Some of the alarm systems my company has to have put in our stores, the local technician has to be licensed in that particular state. Are there any requirements/laws/ordinances that you know of that relate to having to have an electrician or licensed/certified tech install Surveillance systems. I know it may not be a legal requirement, but a liability-related issue. Any information would be appreciated. We were trying to see if installing it ourselves would be ok or if we actually had to get a company to install the equipment for us.

LOL Glad to learn from so many smart and experienced people here. You have already helped me figure out some things to consider troubleshooting my surveillance systems. I have several years' experience with using and troubleshooting some surveillance systems in retail and office environments. Currently looking at developing PC-based DVR system in-house. Deciding on whether it would really be feasible or cost-effective for us or not. Thank you and I look forward to being part of this forum. Joanna.
