First, I work in IT, but cameras are new to me. I'd like to expand and learn more about these and possibly start installing/selling them. Last year I purchased a Lorex system for my uncle. Never again. 3 of the cameras are out and the DVR quit working. I'm looking for myself, so that experience has me a little cautious. I need approx 4 cameras. Would like one high quality PTZ for the front of my house and bullet cams are fine with the rest. Would like IP cams so I can wire these into my server rack and run to a PoE switch. Like to have access via smartphone and maybe run off of a QNAP NAS?
