Best frame rate for stand alone DVR?
coolie11 replied to Erock509's topic in Digital Video Recorders
FPS = Frames Per Second. Is these FPS Per Channel or Per System? 30 FPS is considered to be realtime. I would go with 15FPS. -

You're right. You should be using the LPF-600. Sorry about that, I didn't pay attention to the details, I only use Channel Vision Equipment. -
Combining Cable CO + Modulated CCTV = Fuzzy picture
coolie11 replied to sattech2000's topic in System Design
Add a NF-471 to the Cable feed and set your modulator above 100 skipping 2 channels, eg:- 100, 104, 107 & 110. and you should be good to go. What's happening is, you're suppling the system with 2 feeds alike (within the same frequency and channel line). -

Under the advance tab, you need to set the file recording size and add the drives to the system under the disk group setup. How about remote view with software? Set the software to start automatically with system startup and restart the PC. -

Did you setup network access under schedule? Did you enable and setup compress trans? On the camera setting page, click to enable network access. -
I got it but i wasn't able to do anything with it. Is this a PC based system? How are you extracting the files? Is there any .idx or .index files?

8 channel DVR - how does it work ? ? ?
coolie11 replied to mikex79's topic in Digital Video Recorders
What do you mean by "have I seen any" On my PC Based System I'm able to do 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 & 9 Screen splits. On one of my standalone Systems I'm able to do 1, 4, 7 & 9. I have seen others that will only do 1, 4 & 8. -

Most of what I've seen give you various viewing options:- 1, 4 & 9 splits. What Brand and Model do you plan on getting, with this info you may be able to get a more definite answer. -
Are you in the US? I might be interested a couple. Are they still available? Is there any warranty with these units?

Suggestion for mini indoor flush mount PTZ
coolie11 replied to alpine0000's topic in Security Cameras
Well I've been using them for a few years now without any major issues. I've also had my eye's open for small PTZ's. Compared to the prices out there I think it's worth using Telpix, they also have a 470TVL 1/3" Color Sony Super HAD CCD here http://telpix.com/camera/speed/901/ just keep in mind these are indoor. If you can afford it, I would recommend upgrading to IP Megapixel Cameras, nothing less than 5MP, you'll be blown away with the difference in the quality. This one here http://www.avigilon.com/products/cameras-video/#dome is also available with IR, something I've been waiting to see in IP Camera's. Unfortunately it's to rich for my pocket. -
