    who can help me

    What is your inquiry?
  2. Hey All, I'm currently installing a CCTV System in a Warehouse and was looking for a pole mount to mount some keyboards and monitors on a 1 & 1/4" pole/pipe (this doesn't have anything to do with the CCTV, just some additional work I mite be able to gain if I can accomplish it. The location as I mentioned is a warehouse type environment, the customer already has some structure in place for other equipment which they will like to use. They built rails (looks like a checkers board) using 1 & 1/4" pipe in rows throughout the warehouse and would like us to mount around 4-6 keyboards, mice and monitors to these pipes at various locations throughout the warehouse. I'm thinking of using a regular LCD Wall Mount directly screwed into the pipe or fastened using U Bolts for the LCD Monitors (15"), but I can’t seem to find anything that will hold a keyboard in the vertical position (Keyboard needs to be mounted below monitor with the keys facing the user). I know the hardware is out there for this type of stuff, but I just can’t seem to find it. I've seen this type of installation in another warehouse I did a while back, but I cannot contact those people because it was a sub-contract and I don’t have any direct contacts there. As usual, cost is a major factor and I need all the work I can get right now. Any assistance will be GREATLY appreciated.

    Remote Viewing with Static Address

Dude the setup in the router should be the same now as it was when you had a Dynamic IP Address. If you're sure you forwarded the ports properly, In IE from a remote PC or even from another computer on the local network, enter http://ipaddress:port# and you should be able to get in. Another thing you mite want to do is that Port 80 to something else, because sometimes some ISP's block access to Port 80.

    DVR Card lag

What video card are ou using? I just did some testing with a Hikvision Hardware compression card, in a system using the onboard 64mb Graphics Card and it is doing the same thing you mention it even displays horizontal lines while using a PTZ. I then installed a ATI Radeon X1050 256mb card and it functions properly. You may want to check on this. Before you do this check the Live Refresh Rate under the Live View Tab in the Video Server Configuration, and I will assume you know the difference between 5 & 30 FPS. Post you results.

    Trouble getting IP address

Just for reference in case anyone runs into the same problem. Buy a network switch, connect it to port one on the router, connect your devices to the switch and you should be good to go. The issue was that the service provider had pre-configured the Comtrend Modem/Router to allow internet access through Ethernet Port 1 and The USB Port only, and the other three ports for there Video over IP Service thus requiring an additional network switch for connecting more than one CPU on the Lan side. All four ports on the Comtrend can be configured to connect to the Wan side using different IP addresses. I know some of you are probably wondering why we didn't just configure another port for the Lan within the same subnet as port one, well I spoke to tech support and before the words came out my mouth he said we do not allow alternate configurations on ports 3-4, those are dedicated for our Video Service and that they do not provide any means or addition equipment for customers that need multiple connections. Based on what I saw you can re-configure the ports any how you like, I didn't advise this as I didnt want to take the chance of causing issues with the video service, but yes, you can configure ports 1-3 for the Lan. The setup of the router is pretty typical for remote access using Port Triggering. The only real problem here now, is that I'm left wondering how there Video over IP works, how are they able to transmit various channels over a DSL line without any issues with QOS.

    Trouble getting IP address

This just doesn't make any sense. Is your Comtrend exactly the same as the one in the manual posted by Scorpion? 1. Do you have both units directly connected to the Comtrend? 2. Are they both wired to one of the Lan ports 1X-4X? On your PC not the DVR, go to ipchicken.com and compare the IP Address to the one your DVR gets when configured to DHCP. Based on the manual this unit appears to be a regular ADSL Modem with a built in Router which is not that difficult to setup as long as you have access to the setup options of the unit. If you're not allowed to change any settings on the Comtrend then you should buy your own Router, call your ISP and have them set there unit to bridge mode configure your router and you should be good to go. The only way I can see you getting two different IP Address with this unit is to have the DVR connected directly to the Comtrend and your PC connected to another router which is connected to the Comtrend.
  18. As for extending the video and mouse you can use one of these:- http://search.cablestogo.com/?N=0&Ntt=cat5+extender&cm_mmc=AdWords-_-KVMs+and+Switches-_-kvm+extender_2881880211-_-kvm+extender_Exact_|-|100000000000000153663&cm_guid=1-_-100000000000000153663-_-2881880211&gclid=CKuKitLUxJkCFRRN5QodDidquA As far as the lines on the camera image, it can be a voltage issue or interference passed on to the cable coming from the camera. Try listing some details about your install eg:- DVR, Camera, Power Supply Brand and Model, and I'm sure someone will be able to guide you in the right direction. Some troubleshooting to try is 1. Switch the camera with the issue to another port on the DVR that you're sure works fine. 2. Remove all other cameras except the one with the issue and see if there is any change. 3. If you're using individual power supplies, try switching the power supply with one from the other cameras that works fine. Report back with your findings, further assistance will available.

Quads, multiplexors --- matrix??? Some advice pls

What I did in the past was, loop out the channels for each display patern that was required to various multiplexers, in my case three. Then I used video amplifiers to connect 1 multiplexer to three monitors and and another to two monitors, the last multiplexer was connected directly to a single monitor. There are multiplexers nowadays that provide loop outs allowing you to go from one to the next using only the channels you want, some also offer multiple outputs avoiding the need for any amplifiers. eg:- 16Ch DVR, 3 x 9ch Multiplexers, 6 19" Monitors & 2 video amps. 1. DVR Loop out Channels 1,2,3,5,6,8 & 13 to multiplexer #1 input 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9. Connected to 4 way amp feeding 3 monitors. 2. DVR loop out Channels 4,7,9 & 11 together with multiplexer #1 loop out Channels 1,2,5,8 & 9 to multiplexer #2 input 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9. Connected to 4 way amp feeding 2 monitors. 3. DVR loop out Channels 10,12,15 & 16 together with multiplexer #1 loop out channels 4 & 6 together with multiplexer #2 loop out channels 3,6 & 7. Connected directly to monitor #3. Hope this helps and doesn't seem to be confusing.
