    I currently have a Speco 8-channel DVR hooked up to 5 box cams and 3 PTZ cams. I want to add more cameras and really don't want to purchase another DVR ... what I would really like to do is use an old PC I have and convert it to a DVR that can handle roughly 16 cameras. 4 PTZ and 12 box cameras. What are the factors I need to consider ? Any input is greatly appreciated ! Very Happy

    I recently bought this camera: amazon(dot)com/gp/product/B000VZOAAK I have it up and running just fine ... only thing is I can not get the onboard menu to pop up. The manual that came with it is pretty rough. It has a bunch of options that can be turned on and off by either 'calling' or 'setting' a N position. I was able to get through that enough to set the start and end point for the scan... however, it says to turn on the OSD menu I should call N57 and to turn it off I should set N57 ... this function is not working. I am wondering if there is some sort of breakdown in the translation of this horrible manual I received. Has anyone else dealt with this model camera ? Thanks !

    I recently purchased a PTZFIR Outdoor 18X Infrared Filter Day Night PTZ Video Surveillance Security Camera from Amazon Marketplace and have enjoyed it. It is linked to my Speco dvr (TN family) and I access the camera menu via choosing the preset 1 (or 64) twice in a short amount of time. I can then navigate through the camera menu with ease. Here is my hangup, when I try to setup the pan start and stop points I get 'stuck' ... after I set the start point the screen displays 'CLOSE:EXIT' - Great, but I have no 'close' or 'exit' that I can see. Perhaps I am missing something ? or I am accessing the camera incorrectly ? Thanks !
