No. It's not a -P. Plus, the 5 series all have internal PS i'm fairly sure. only the 4204-p has to external PS.

Howdy, I have a 5216 that is playing oddball. Issue 1 ) I have 15 x IPCHDW4421 and 1 x IPC-HDW2320R-Z . In Settings -> Encode, for every camera, I get "Cant get Configuration" message. I have defaulted the system. Still no joy. Issue 2) If a user connects with iDMSS, at random after disconnecting nobody can log in again with iDMSS or PSS. Login from the NVR itself is not affected. Reboot fixes problem. Any clues, or do i send this unit back... I've got a few of these units out there, and this one is the old one with an issue (besides one that had a CPU fan die and cook the processor...) Cheers.

Provided you have tried disconnecting the HDD and ALL other things connected to it, including mouse, it sounds like a dead unit. Sorry....
