i am looking to build a portable unmanned surveillance unit inside of a Hardigg case. (if you havent seen one, a hardigg case is a military grade hardened sealed plastic case like this)
I have seen a couple of these units before, and I know their capabilities and some of their components, but most of the time when i have seen them, the area where the camera/dvr is located is sealed in a compartment.
So my question would be essentially, what components could i use to successfully make a surveillance unit like this that could be viewed remotely (ideally via an app) and could also transmit/upload video via something like a pretuned cell antenna. I have no idea what kind of smaller camera or DVR would be best for this application. I do not need extremely high resolution or to obtain video at more than a distance of 50-75 yards max probably. I would like to use something like a deep cycle marine battery to power the unit so that i can get 36-48 hours of battery life.
Any recommendations for how to design this or what to use?
