Hello. Sometimes the camera can provide a time stamp as well as the DVR. If you can determine which device is providing the incorrect timestamp, use the OSD menu settings for the device to turn off the wrong time stamp. Hope this points you in the right direction.

Unable to view DVR via Mobile Device
GadgetAssistant replied to dos1tres's topic in Computers/Networking
Hello. The NOIP DDNS account would need to have a client service running on either the DVR, router, or local some PC for it to be properly bound to your public IP address and for it to be able to update any change to it. NOIP support should have some info on which option is best for you. Hope this helps. -
Hello. Cameras that work in low or no light conditions use IR LED lights in order to illuminate its field of view. In order for those LED lights to have an opportunity to illuminate the camera's field of view, there should be some sort of reflective surface within the camera's denoted field of range in order for the LED light to return to the camera lens. That range for your camera would be 30 meters or 20 if the area is really dark. Hope this helps.

KKmoon dvr with floureon cameras
GadgetAssistant replied to fpacheco's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello. It would seem that the cameras from the Floureon DVR would be incompatible on the KKmoon DVR. If you want a new DVR, it should be AHD compatible. -
Hello. Even though the camera IP addresses show the same type of local IP address as what the router passes out, it is likely that the camera IP addresses are provided by the NVR's internal switch putting them on a separate local network. If it were me, I would experiment by connecting a laptop to the NVR's switched network and see if the cameras appear on the utility software, otherwise, you may want to connect the cameras to your router and service them there.

Qvis cctv discovery app other solutions ?
GadgetAssistant replied to marcingolf's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hello. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? -
Hello. It may be a permission issue on the Mac's internal hard drive. If it keeps crashing even after making sure the permissions are correctly set for the app, try installing the software on a USB or external drive connected to the Mac.

No Playback on dahua IPC after several hours
GadgetAssistant replied to Philinator's topic in Security Cameras
Hello. I have three suggestions. My first suggestion is to reformat the SD card. A second suggestion is to find a disk utility that can recover unreadable data and if a defect is detected under the troubled data, that location should be marked bad to prevent future use. My last suggestion would be to replace the SD cards. -

Hello. Some email providers may limit how many emails you can send over a certain period of time or may shut you down if they suspect that you are spamming. -
Hello. If your router's NAS is accessible via FTP, your camera may be able to save video to it, or at least still pictures.

Qsee DVR Remote connection issues
GadgetAssistant replied to Gordy7's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Hello. You might want to make sure that you have eliminated any internet connection issues before you invest in a new DVR. An internet speed test performed over a few days at different times a day could help make sure your internet connection is adequate and reliable to maintain a DVR connection. -
Hello. If your DVR is a standalone appliance and not a card in a computer, the DMZ should be fine. The ports in a standalone DVR are hard coded. In a computer, ports can be negotiated.

hdd of my dvr is not recognized
GadgetAssistant replied to abdulelahshmaisani's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hello. Making sure there is adequate power for both the DVR and HDD would be the best way to start. If you simply disconnect the HDD from the DVR and try to boot up the DVR without the HDD connected could rule out the DVR as an issue. Just be sure you put the cover back on the DVR before you try booting up with the HDD removed or disconnected. If the DVR is OK it should not reboot with the HDD disconnected. -

Infrared/Night Vision Not Working
GadgetAssistant replied to renz's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hello. Try a new power adapter for the cameras. -
Hello. It may be time to change the DVR's circuit board battery. If the DVR has a battery on board, that is how it would retain its firmware settings when the DVR loses power. To determine why the DVR would lose power every day, you might want to check the Auto Maintenance section. If it is not set to reboot every day, you might also want to consider changing the DVR's power adapter.
-
Hello. In order to view the cameras through the NVR's web page, you will need to know the LAN or WAN address. The LAN address will be assigned to the NVR by the switch or Asus router, if you cannot see it on the NVR Network menu. The WAN address is assigned to your modem by your internet service provider. The camera LAN addresses as denoted by the NVR switch menu are all internal to that system and so are not remotely accessible as such.
-
Hello. You probably need either a new power adapter or a new hard drive. A new power adapter is the least expensive place to start.

Help with zmodo DVR please , cant see cameras in IE
GadgetAssistant replied to tacon's topic in Computers/Networking
Hello. If you are using the Internet Explorer to try and view the DVR cameras, make sure that Active X controls are installed and allowed or set to ask for permission when it is less than secure to allow. If you are using any other browser, you may want to look for an extension or add-on that emulates Active X controls. Hope it helps. Alot of DVR web hosted pages need Active X controls to stream video. -
Hello. Dip switches on PTZ cameras can be used to set the camera address. The NVR would have to know the camera address in order to control it. Switch 1 plus 4 could mean an address of 9. Dip switches 8 and above might control the baud rate. Beyond that, I would look for a manual using the specific model number on the camera to try and illuminate exactly what the dip switches do.

swann DVR4-1350 remote access
GadgetAssistant replied to coltmanneil's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hello. The WAN IP for remote access should be defined on your router and the port is defined on the Swann DVR. You might have to get the port for the DVR forwarded on the router for the connection to work that way. But here is on more thing to consider, if your internet connection does not have the bandwidth necessary, you will won't be able to connect that way or with P2P. -
Hello. Is it possible you may have set up a privacy area on that particular camera? It is possible to black out areas on camera feeds on some systems.
