Hello. Are you trying to use some sort of P2P ID or some IP address for the DVR?
-
Hello. The cheapest and easiest way to get the DVR to record again would be to replace the DVR's hard drive. Even before that, replacing the DVR's adapter or power supply might be the only thing to replace. You also might check to see if the hard drive just needs to be formatted before replacing anything at all.

Have the DVR ports forwarded for the DVR on the new router.

Maybe your DVR has joined a botnet?

Samsung sdr-B3300 to AT&T Arris modem.
GadgetAssistant replied to deville57's topic in Introductions
The 99.52.xxx.xxx is the WAN IP that AT&T assigns to your router. If you contact them, they should be able to assist you in forwarding the ports for the DVR at the LAN IP of 192.168.1.25. A couple other ways they might help is by using the DVR's LAN IP on the router's DMZ or the IP/MAC pass through, if those options are available. And if I might correct myself, AT&T usually sets the router address at 192.168.1.254 and to make any advanced changes on the router you will need the device access code from the sticker on the router. Open up a web browser. Type in 192.168.0.1 The default user name is usually 'admin' and the password is 'password' If this info is wrong, portforward.com might give you some insight more in line with your particular model of the Arris router. -
Eagle Eye Playback query
GadgetAssistant replied to andy8518's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Hi. Is your connection through the Eagle Eye app using an IP address or a P2P code? -
Hello. Always be suspicious of those pesky power supplies. If it out of warranty take note of its output and connector. Use that info to replace it.

GadgetAssistant replied to deville57's topic in Introductions
Most Arris routers would have a client list to be found on the LAN Setup tab. Hopefully you can find your DVR there after setting it to take an address through DHCP. -
Hi. Have you tried replacing the unit's power adapter?

Try setting the DVR IP address type to DHCP to give it a better chance to connect to your new router. -
Changing from the default ports to thwart Mirai/others
GadgetAssistant replied to seacoug's topic in Computers/Networking
Hello. If you are concerned about security and being compromised, you might want to consider just changing your ports almost as often as you might change your password. Anything from 2000 to 60000 should be fair game unless its assigned to some other device on the network. -
QVIS LX Apollo Admin Password Reset 2001-01-10
GadgetAssistant replied to darran1111's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Here is a complete shot in the dark: 519070 If that doesn't work, consider contacting QVIS and inquiring if there is a master password based upon the DVR's date. -
Hello. Increase the sensitivity to movement so it records more or simply set the DVR to continuously record.

You should always consider unwanted reflection as a problem when opticks are involved. Even with the best of cameras. No matter how much you pay, Isaac Newton will always be right.
-
Hello. Consider setting both those camera channels back to default to undo any adjusting that might have been attempted to get back to square one. The first camera, you might want to remove its hood if it is removable or just sliding it back. It is indoors and would be OK without it. Also, angling it down so the ceiling is not so much in its view might help with the wash out during the day and the halo it is getting in the dark.

Dahua NVR3408 NVR, Cant connect IP cameras
GadgetAssistant replied to superman_006's topic in Computers/Networking
The P2P ID assigned to to your NVR will most likely not work through any browser. It should work using the phone app or computer software that Dahua may have available for that particular NVR. If the ports are forwarded, you can probably use the WAN IP assigned to your router to access the web service from a computer outside your network and possibly even from within. If you want to try that, you probably want to enable UPNP on your NVR. -
It may be time to consider replacing the DVR's power adapter. An old faulty power adapter might certainly cause a DVR to periodically or even constantly restart.
-
Hello. Have you tried disconnecting the cameras and/or the hard drive to see if the DVR stays on?

[HELP]Dahua DVR P2P connection failed (with 3g modem router)
GadgetAssistant replied to LonelyTanvir's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello. Just because it can pass the LAN test, won't mean it has access to the internet, if the router that the DVR to which it is connected itself has no internet access. If you are interested in port forwarding you might want to check out portforward.com 50 to 60 kbps might not be enough. 512 kbps would be a minimum for most analog 4 channel DVRs with the 4 cameras connected. -
Hello. If you can find the MAC address, the first three sections may be a unique identifier for the manufacturer.

[HELP]Dahua DVR P2P connection failed (with 3g modem router)
GadgetAssistant replied to LonelyTanvir's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello. The P2P connection will still depend on the DVR making a connection to the local network. And then there would be the matter of having enough bandwidth to get the camera videos out of the local network out to the internet. -
Vivotek FD816BA-HT on Alibi (Hikvision?) Dvr
GadgetAssistant replied to trippb's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello. I know you did not mention it but you might also need to consider reducing the frames per second settings to allow transmission and even recording. -
hikvision DVR keep rebooting , how to install firmware
GadgetAssistant replied to wesam_az's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hello. If the device keeps rebooting, it could be either a power or hard drive issue. You probably should avoid any sort of firmware update until you fix the reboot issue. If the DVR decides to reboot in the middle of a firmware update, you will most likely brick it. -
Hello. Have you considered checking with the manufacturer to see if there is a master password aside from the default?
