Hi could anyone advise me whether I could use a Poe switch on this NVR to increase the No of cameras I can add. The NVR is 4 port but I need 5 cameras plus and I don't really want to buy a 8 port nvr. Many thanks Kev

Hi all,now you've probably had this question asked a thousand times before but I'm finding it hard to get the info I need for a new CCTV setup. I have between £400-500 to spend on a new setup. I need a DVR and 3 cameras Poe would be good as this will be instilled in a farm building so ease of install is key. I have looked at dome cameras as my current bullet setup attracts a lot of cobwebs. I need something that's going to be good in low light with it being on a farm buy not sure if I can achieve that on this budget. My current setup is by annke and I've been happy with it so far so would be interested to know what there new gear is like. Many thanks all. Cheers Kev

Was going to buy a 100mtr drum as my father in law needs to get the cable in before he looses a cherry picker that he's currently using. Then I'll crimp in the connectors. I have a spare monitor we can use just for setup purposes.

Hi 51 cent you sent me a message today regarding speaking to someone on another forum about the Dahua gear. I can't find the message anywhere. Did you send it to my inbox. Cheers Kev

I wondered whether it was or not seen as its on AliExpress Could you advise me on a 3-4 camera setup from Dahua with a compatible NVR that would show all the cameras at the resolution they were supposed to be shown at. Also where I might be able to buy from as most website say login for prices. Hope that make sense Cheers

Morning tom,am I right in saying it's under the decoding section of the NVR where it says 1 camera at 8mb and 4 at 1080. Cheers
-
Where does it tell you that info Tom as I've been looking at the specs but couldn't find that info.

Tom have a look at this link as I've been offered this setup for £650 I think https://www.cctvtek.co.uk/_shop/4-camera-ip-cctv-kits/hikvision-4x-ds2cd2345fwdi-28mm-powered-by-darkfighter-turret-camera-4-channel-4k-ip-nvr-cctv-kit/

Tom qvis are just the same as everybody else,if you not an installer they don't want to know. So annoying. Thanks anyway.

I'm in Barnsley South Yorkshire Tom. I'll have a look at qvis. Cheers

Been looking at dahua starlight as advised and hikvision dark fighter turrets but what I don't like about hikvision is that getting prices and info for the better quality type cameras is a real ball ache. Cheers
-
Brill cheers. I've been looking at the starlight turrets,do you know which NVR/DVR recorders are compatible. Looking for a 1 or 2 tb storage on 3-4 cameras. I know that's not a lot of storage but only looking for a say 7 days playback when the cameras are set to motion only. Cheers
-
Thanks for your reply, may I ask why you favour turrets.

Hi there thanks for your reply, the cable runs are around 20-25mtrs. So what's the benefit with turret over bullet or dome?

Hi all I wondered if anyone could shed some light on my problem. I have a Annke 8 channel Poe nvr and 4 Annke Poe 4mp bullet cameras. I think it's all hikvision gear re badged. The box tell me it's plug and play but it's been far from it so far. The nvr came with the hardrive already installed. So I connected the power lead, all 4 cameras and the Ethernet cable to my router. All the lights are on/flashing on the Poe ports on the back of the nvr. The cameras powered up as I could see the red ir led's. I went through the setup wizard and all was well until it comes to search for connected cameras..........but nothing shows up in the list. When I go to the camera management page all the cameras have been assigned an IP address 192.169.254.2 to .9 but I have a yellow warning triangle on all cameras in the status box. If I double click on this I get ip camera does not exist. I'm scratching my head at the moment and it won't be long before I'm bold so any advise would be great. Thanks again kev

triggertrevor replied to triggertrevor's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi there yeah your right there is a add option in the advanced user guide but on my camera management screen it's not there and when you try and delete the 8 pre installed cameras that are there by default it says there are no cameras to delete? Cheers
