Hi. I have a Vitek VT-EH16 DVR that I am trying to remotely view on iPhone 6 with Vitek apple app. I can get viewing locally on local IP and have opened up all the ports I can think of on Verizon DSL router. I don't want to spend $60.00/yr to get a DYNDNS account unless I am sure it will open up the port and let me view remotely. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Tom, Anybody ever tell you you're a genius? If not, I'll tell you right now, you're a genius. Updating the firmware with USB memory stick did the trick. Brought it back to factory settings so I am able to get into it just like a new unit. Nowhere on the internet does it say how to bring back an Avermedia EH unit to factory default. I hope this helps future Avermedia users. Thank you so much and to this forum for letting me post my question.

Thanks Tom, but the administrator changed user to OPERATOR and has a administrator password on it also. He/she made a user password that can't get in to system or recording. I need to reset to factory settings.

Hi, I bought a used Avermedia EH5801H+ on ebay and whoever owned it before put a new user name and administrator password on. I figured out the user pass and can get in to some items but can't get into administrator system. I found if I hit the FN button 5 times a box comes up for 'Reset to Default Password' and asks for pin code. I have no idea what the pin code number is as I have tried dozens of numbers with no success. Default password is 111111 and I found 222222 got me in. Anyone ever had to reset Aver DVR and have a pin number or know how to get it? I asked online at Avermedia but have not gotten an answer yet. I don't want to send it back to ebay seller because it is a nice unit. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
