  1. I was told directly from Exacq that they will not run on COTs. Remember there NVRs do not come with IP camera licenses they are extra.
  2. Right now you can only buy Exacq Start on Exacq hardware. You can not the buy licenses and install them on COTs.

    Wireless IP Camera

I have 2 Fluidmesh 1100M's 5Mhz links running on different floors of my house for testing and but I would never recommend it to anyone. Point is it works today and may not work tomorrow which is not something that you want to sell to your customer. WDS = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_Distribution_System

    Wireless IP Camera

Nimrod is correct Foscam is junk stay away if you value your costumers. Never use wireless cameras indoors and only use them when you have LOS. Also keep in mind you will need power at the locations and if you can get power to the camera you can get data/video. FYI any IP camera or encoder can be wireless when used with an access point.
  5. Small and less then $300 http://www.axis.com/products/cam_m7001/index.htm
  6. Excellent! I have a few concerns that I am hoping you can sort out: 1) In exacqvision, with my Vivotek FD8161, it seems to work fine, except when I want to export recorded footage to AVI or MOV files, the video is blank when i try to watch it. However, it *WILL* work if I export to a .exe file. Ever seen that before? I was using h.264, and last night i switched it to jpeg to see if that makes any difference. I am going to try exporting again tonight to see if that changes anything. But even if it does, i kind of wanted to use h.264 for bandwidth purposes, since I stream a lot of live video to my iOS devices, and watch the cameras via client software from work. I will note though, that I can export to AVI and MOV files just fine from video recorded on my analog cameras through the AXIS 241Q encoder. Its just the IP camera footage that wont work. Not sure I always export in .exe and I haven't used Vivotek with them. 2) I bought 2 exacq licenses, then a few weeks later they announced Start and Pro versions. Is my version now obsolete? Can I have licenses that are mixed-and-matched? In otherwords, can I buy a Start license now that will work with my other two licenses that costed way more? Also, what would I lose in capability by going with Start licenses over my current ones? And is the Pro version just a re-name of the version I have, or does it add more functionality? Start will only work on Exacqs hardware. You will be using PRO with your licenses. 3) I have notifications set up to email me on video loss in exacq. I have an issue ONLY with the IP camera, in that whenever it switches to night mode, or back to day mode, I get an email for video loss. This doesnt happen when my analog cameras hooked up to the AXIS encoder switch between day and night mode. Could be a issue with Exacq. I'm hoping these issues wont continue to be a problem with new IP cameras I purchase, and even hoping that there's an easy fix for them and they won't continue to be a problem. Sorry for all of the questions... But thanks for your help and support. " title="Applause" />
  7. Please post them I would love finally see some good IQI shots.
  8. alpine0000 I have Exacq 4.6 and it works with Avigilon H.264 cameras
  9. OR use a smaller 9-40MM lens that will fit in a dome housing Also you could use a box camera with build in 5-85mm lens with remote zoom and focus.
  10. Wow.... You know nothing about this job so how can you tell me how to design it? You might want to tone it down a little bit since you have know clue what the customer wants or how wide the hallway is. .1 lux for a hotel hallway? do the customers use flashlights to find the rooms?
  11. Sorry I am not about to give out free design info like this on the internet but I can tell you it can be done. Right now I am looking at a demo system that I just installed for a hotel. 5MP camera 100ft hall way works very very well. Everything comes down to proper design using the right equipment for the right location.
  12. Nimrod...... Interesting comments and you have some valid points. I would pull all UTP even if your going analog. I disagree on the analog being enough for hallways but to each is own. Also the CNBs are well, not the best but do have a good price.

    Wireless cameras

Do you have power at this camera location?
  17. thewireguys

    No Solution

Yes it works fine with Exacq. The camera runs if 2 modes 10MP or 1080P. You get 2 options with VMS for resolution Full and Half.
  18. thewireguys

    No Solution

Yes but you NEED a good lens and housing. Good luck getting it to work with your Linix setups. I still think their is limited VMS support for this camera.
  19. http://www.eyespyfx.com/about.html That looks like a mobile phone view not a true recording VMS. FYI if you go with a VMS like Exacq you will get a full VMS solution with mobile viewing. If your installing cameras and computer there is no reason you shouldn't record the cameras. If you don't one day you wish you would have.
  20. Your paying for knowledge, experience, warranty and piece of mind. 7 IP cameras, server, VMS, network and install..... Those prices you got are not out of line.

    Avigilon vs Nuuo

I just did the same thing for a new customer that I am trying to win. I setup an onsite demo with 1 encoder, 1 1080P and 1 5MP.

    Avigilon vs Nuuo

Avigilon is the ONLY VMS designed for HD/megapixel cameras from the ground up. NUUO can't come close to what Avigilon can do. Are you Avgilon partners or just testing stuff out? Ask NUUO how many h.264 cameras can they view at one time on the client software? Live and Recorded.
