MegaPixel Cameras - Images and Demos
thewireguys replied to rory's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yea I am not a fan of Areconts image but I do like the resolution from the 10MP. The 2 cameras I like from Arecont are the 10MP and the 180's other wise Avigilon all the way. -
IP Cameras that has the following features
thewireguys replied to Someone10101's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Why 30 fps? Best, Christopher My internet upload is about 512kbps. So high quality w/ good compression is needed. Your never gonna get high frame rates with that upload speed. -

Exacq will run on machines that have the same power draw as a NAS

You need a NVR that supports Iphone and Android to do this. -
MegaPixel Cameras - Images and Demos
thewireguys replied to rory's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Both cameras have the same 4.5-10 Arecont lenses (which I am not a fan of). Keep in mind the Avigilon is A/I and it has a Manual lens on it so the image will be even better with a A/I lens. Arecont 10MP Avigilon 5MP -

So Exacq says there is no way to have the hosting system pull the images from Exacq webserver?
-
I would think you would be able to use Exacq's webserver to do this.

Ability to hear & talk back to anyone@my front door remotely
thewireguys replied to Someone10101's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Q1. I have not used the t24 but the other Mobotix cameras I have installed you can trigger events from motion detection. Also Mobotix has 2 different motion triggers so if motion 1 is triggered before motion 2 play message 1. If motion 2 triggered before motion 1 play message 2. Example You can play one message when someone comes to your house and a different message when they leave. Q2. You need a VOIP server to make calls from the Mobotix cameras. Then it call any device or you can direct connect the camera to a VOIP phone or VOIP Video Phone. When (Button) Call (number) Q3. Yes but you don't need to. Q4. Yes When (button) trigger recording. -

Mobotix can also play recorded messages based off of triggers. -

Video Analytics
thewireguys replied to ProposalmanJ's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Ok couple of things. 1) Mobotix does not have on board Video Analytics. They have a very advanced rule system but no Analytics. 2) No one can answer this question for you. You need to decide what Analytics you want to run and find a Analytic company that is compatible with Milestone. Once you know what Analytic you want to run and what Analytic solution your going to use that company will tell you how much CPU power you will need. 3) For a server based solution your gonna need ALOT of CPU power. Dedicated servers with dual quad core Xeon's and many of them. 4) For a edge based solution you will need no extra CPU power or servers plus you will save on network bandwidth. 5) What Analytics do you want to run? 6) Analytics are not %100 you WILL have false alarms. What ever you do, do not over sell them or you will have a pissed off customer -

Remind your customer they will be paying the yearly camera fees for Milestone to the tune of $50 per camera plus the server fee -
Qnap NVR and Mobotix cameras, help needed
thewireguys replied to andy74's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Andy this is simple math. What is your DSL upload speed? What is your total bandwidth coming out of the QNAP with all of your cameras? If your total bandwidth of your cameras is more then your upload speed of your DSL connection (which it is) you will have dropped frames. Good news is you have all of the tools to make this work for remote viewing. Use Mobotix MXCC and setup the QNAP as a NAS device to storage the images from the Mobotix cameras. With Mobotix cameras you can record at full resolution and stream at much lower resolution for remote connections. -
44 ip camera system
thewireguys replied to Serfio's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It's a security system to protect a my building so I'll take a try, if something is not working I can kick ass by myself:) It's just one building. The network is a gigabit one with a cat6 cable serving only the secutity system, I also have a ups protected power line to keep poe switch(and camera) running if a black out occurs. I would setup a 2 monitor client into the monitor room. However, when I'm away, I would be able to see the camera remotely by my laptop or cellphone I like the idea to split the system into two server, it's a good thing for redundancy and load....At the beginning I was planning to buy 2 qnap server to obtain this. is It possible the same thing with exacqvision? I like exacqvision for it's wide client support because I have several mac os x computer and I'm planning to buy an android phone. The only pity is that exacq doesn't support italian language(now at least). I've asked a quote for exacq to the europe dealer, he has forwarded the email to the italian dealer (I don't know who is, on the website is not present). Online I have see about 125$ for 1 license camera, there are some discount for large camera system? have you got some experience? thanks PM sent for Exacq software -

Tamron made excellent lens for SD cameras. But, at this moment, Fujinon MP lenses is more better, than Tamron..... Agreed with Fujinon statement. I am going to order a Tuss lens and see how they compare -
