I need outdoor rated covert housings for urban environments to hold cameras and computers. That is all I can say. I know I can build them but I don't have time and I want to just concentrate on the electronics so I am looking to see it there are any suppliers.

Really? No one has any suppliers for housing like this?

I don't know Milestone too well but does it have any rules? When motion on camera, Trigger output on I/O. I know Exacq and Avigilon can do this. Another option is to use http commands. You can send a http trigger from one Axis camera to another. Example 2: Activate port 1. (Only valid if port 1 is configured as output.) http://myserver/axis-cgi/io/port.cgi?action=1:/ -

The Acti 1231 will not give you 75ft of IR more like 25ft max. Also make sure QNAP supports audio recording. -

The axis I/O will do what you want. Are you using VMS to record the camera? -

http://www.aimetis.com/Solutions/Retail.aspx With Aimetis you can do lots of things with your CCTV system besides record video. -
I would go it the 180's over the 356. Frames rates are fine with the coverage from the camera 9 FPS.

Default the camera and try again. -
Your not gonna get 30FPS from Mobotix cameras unless you reduce the image size to D1 resolution.

What brand DVRs are you using? Are they all the same? Do they have VMS software to log into them all at the same time? -

MegaPixel Cameras - Images and Demos

??? why would you use a 11MP camera when a 5MP does the trick? Also the Pro cameras are not D/N only day or night. -

I found the QNAP NVR solution to be clunky at best. I would only use them for small camera counts. I would recommend you look at a VMS provider like Exacq or Milestone. -

Help with a large NVR set up from scratch

Your correct they will help you spec out THEIR software not the best solution for your customer. Call Trendnet and ask them to spec the system I am doing a 36 camera multi building system right now and all I can tell you is if you don't do all of your home work before you quote the job you will lose a lot of money. If I were you I would spend a week at this site looking at every little detail before you quote the system. This job your working on will be 1.5M+ easy for everything cabled and installed. Also you have a big decision to make with your VMS software. You could go with Milestone or ONSSI but keep in mind your gonna have recuring fees for your customer at the tune of $50 per camera per year plus the server fees so your looking at over $250K over 10 years in software fees. -
Axis Certified Professional
thewireguys posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I attended Axis training before and it was more of a sales pitch then anything. I am always looking for more training but not sure if I find this interesting or not. What does everyone think? P.S I would like to see the software that they use on his laptop though http://www.axis.com/certification/faq.htm -
Grounding 24v AC IP cameras?
thewireguys replied to musher's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Yea Sanyo's need extra power for the heater/blowers and to get extended temp range with ACTI you need extra power. Your other option is to use housings that are powered with POE, more money but easier and faster to install.
