Vivotek IP8151 Supreme Night Visibility
thewireguys replied to cglaeser's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I saw it at ISC east and the image was very good but I did not see it in low light. Also check out Basler for low light MP stuff. The new BIP2 cameras are nice. http://www.baslerweb.com/beitraege/beitrag_en_70777.html -
Outdoor HD IP Fixed Camera
thewireguys replied to Quantum's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Not intending to high-jack the thread, but I've noticed an increase in supply problems. Crow D&D PIRs, Avigilon, Sanyo, are a few examples of delayed shipments. Best, Christopher Sanyo is just screwed up. Avigilon is not gonna be a problem it is only the h.264s. Got nothing on the Crow's -

Please do NOT buy cameras from EBAY!!! If your looking for a toy then fine but if you want a reliable security system stick with known brands. Acti, Vivotek, Axis, Sanyo Mobotix, Sony..... -
Looking forward to testing these: http://www.avigilon.com/products/cameras-video/h264-dome/

Avigilon H.264 Cameras
thewireguys replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Aviglon builds the cameras..... and the company you are talking about does not have the full Avigilon camera line. They can only sell the H.264 and 3 and 5 MP cameras. I have the Avigilon H.264 Box and Dome cameras on my test bench -

Avigilon makes indoor and outdoor cameras. You will not find pricing online " title="Applause" /> , Avilgilon does not allow online sales -
Outdoor HD IP Fixed Camera
thewireguys replied to Quantum's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
OK 3-5MP cameras for $500 or less is not gonna happen. 1080P or 2 MP you have some options. Also I would not recommend running your VMS software on a machine that is not dedicated for it. Also besides the Pro cameras Avigilon is not as pricey as you think. -
What are your top mpixel cameras for different applications?
thewireguys replied to DeDanan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
So you just admitted that all the info is on the forum but you are to "lazy" to read it. I am sorry my man but this is what I do for a living and I am not giving away all of my knowledge I have gained for free. I think any other business owner will understand this. I am more then willing to help people but when you ask " what Megapixel cameras should I sell" I have to draw the line. On a side note I could just give you a lot of false information and really screw you. My point is if you want to have a good name and be in this business for a long time do the research yourself. -

Sorry I have to disagree. You save on install time and return called to fix focus issues = Saving customer money. Are you a installer or distributor? And just so you know I have spent the money to test the cameras before we offer them which has paid off tremendously and I recommend you do it yourself. -

If a customer is buying Panasonic 484 or 502 the Sanyo domes are an easy sale. -

thewireguys replied to DeDanan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Very expensive for most people, costs more than the best panasonic cctv cameras. You need to find new customers. The Sanyos are the same price and the Panasonic 484 and 502s.. -

Lets review the setup and monitor the theft-Where to improve
thewireguys replied to nichepi's topic in General Digital Discussion
IP cameras will not help. HD/Megapixel cameras can but they come at a price and need to good lighting at night time to be effective. -
I would stick with the 8000 series. E-Ptz means nothing any NVR software can do this.
