shielded Cat5E is not needed. Soundy... Do you guys pull plenum cable? if you don't your lucking box of cat5 plenum is $400 and rg-59 + 18/2 is alot more. Also I must agree with Soundy it is much easier to pull bundled cable then individual cables at the same time.

thewireguys replied to tcssystem's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I just started using the IP PTZ cameras from Sony and I am very happy with them so far. I would like I test out the HD PTZ cameras but I don't really have a need for the box or domes from Sony. -

Andriod IP camera app
thewireguys replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have been using IP Camera Viewer and has worked well but I am looking for something that has better PTZ control. You have the swipe up/down left/right for PTZ but why no pinch control for optical zoom? Also I see no way know which stream your pulling from the cameras. -

Is any one really happy with the images from the CNB cameras? I have installed a bunch and just don't get all the hype. Maybe i am just spoiled with all the HD/Megapixel stuff.

Axis camera station questions
thewireguys posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Anyone know if Axis Camera Station takes advantage of the muilti-streams from Axis cameras. Can you record one stream and view another? Also can you use the locate storage (SD cards) for recording? -
Any links for information on this so I can show my customers that request audio.
