Yea I was looking at the local recording on the P5534 and I can't find a way to download the video from the camera That doesn't seam like a very useful feature if you have to get a lift every time you need to download video from the camera

Hardwire is right everything has it's place and you can't touch Ubiquiti for the price. Personal I will be building our own RB links in the future for our wireless devices

Just doing some research on Milestone software and looking to hear what other dealers and/or users like and dislike about it.

And who would this high-end company be? The problem I have with proprietary systems like this is that it locks you into their hardware - if you want to expand things, you can only do it with their equipment. Would you not be able to use a standard 802.11x network with QoS to achieve the same (or similarly effective) optimization? And what does "theWIREguys" know about wireless anyway? Airaya was the company I was talking about and also Firetide and Fludemesh say the something. Well I have to disagree about proprietary systems and wireless. I want proprietary for wireless for security. You can't connect to a Airaya, Firetide, or Fludemesh wireless node without a matching device. Any old 802.11 device will not connect. Wireless still needs a wire to connect to the network right?

Hardwired thank you very much... What about server requirements and hard-drive space. Don't you need a I high speed dally storage bank and an archiving location? Also it's there a limit to how many total FPS you can record per day? Have you ever uses Milestone for a 150+ camera project?

I can't talk about Tranzeo but another high end wireless company was telling me they use there own wireless standard that is optimized for for video and VOIP data unlike Ubiquiti which is just standard 802.11.

Have you tried 2 different computers?

I understand how P-iris works and I am not saying it doesn't serve a purpose, but the fact is CMOS does not need auto iris lens.

Have you tried upgrading the firmware and profile?

Just like the fire system which would easily be +100K.... I have replaced many fire, burg, cctv for that stuff under insurance.

I am serious I would like to know. What if the analog system to cover that would cost 300,000 and the Avigilon system cost 200,00? would that change your mind about the insurance?

I never wrote anything about any analog camera getting face recognition at a stadium's seating area, so that has no bearing on anything. Please re-read my original post. And the question again was, nothing to do with analog cameras now so please forget analog cameras even exist, are these $10,000+- cameras insured due to the high cost, lets say in the RARE case that they are stolen? Heck they could get stolen on the way to being installed even. Can one get lightning insurance on them also? Ok let me ask that a different way. No, I have never in 10 years had a camera stolen. Do you think it would be a little obvious if some drove a lift into the stadium and when up 50-100ft to the camera? You don't think the other 50 cameras would catch any of this? Or the security team would not question some one with a lift? Maybe you need to come try to steal one in the US and see how well that would work out? Its a simple question, do you just expect people to spend that kind of money and not ask questions?
