Oops, my bad. I knew that. Been reviewing to many camera specs. Do you have a link to the Avigilon enclosure for the H.264 box. I did not look today, but I looked a couple weeks ago and could only find a part number, but not the enclosure product page with dimensions or picture, etc. Would not need a heater in this environment. Best, Christopher You can put it in any housing you want.

Yeah its called the real world. So back to the stealing, you do insure those $10,000 cameras at least right? You just don't get it
-
Unlike you, I dont just stick to one brand or one type of product, I give my clients the choice, not all need a $10,000 camera, and a $100 camera also wont work for every application. As for my opinion, I will give it to someone that gives a damb which obviously you dont. Huh

Yeah okay then that protects it from being stolen Rory you live in a whole different world then the rest of us

If the cameras are installed properly no one will be able to steal them... Rory I am giving up on you How is that? Is it inside iron bars welded to some large metal pole 100' in the air surrounded in electrified barbed wire? $10,000 camera .. its very inviting for a criminal. Dont you guys have criminals where you live? If not, I want to move there .. now! Rory this cameras will be never be mounted where someone can reach them without a lift. And if some would disconnect the camera you get an instant notification in the software that you can trigger email or an alarm trigger.

Excellent. Which lens did you select for the box camera? Best, Christopher H.264 Box has built in 5-85mm lens

Are you still on track to receive your Avigilon test camera next week? Best, Christopher H.264 dome should ship this week and I just placed an order for the h.264 Box camera.

You looking at $9000 for the camera plus lenses. That camera can replace 50 analog cameras and if you do the calculations for the same coverage detail that camera is a bargain
-
Yea the 16MP camera is a beast and is a perfect fit for jobs like this.

There is no alliterative for Aviglon. Arecont has a 10MP camera but it is having some issues and they stopped production to fix them. Even if I had to use the Arecont 10MP I would still use Avigilon software. Why don't you want to use Avigilon?

Decoder integrationthewireguys replied to James333's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions What decoders are you thinking about? Just curious what your think about. This would be a great idea if Exacq could control decoders but it is very easy to setup computers for a video wall and a lot cheaper.

Some considerations when buying a camerathewireguys replied to Jeroen1000's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions I would stick with the 8000 series. All of the images and video I have seen are much better then the older Vivotek and any Acti I have seen or installed.

IP camera question acti 1231thewireguys replied to JohnEF's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions Yes the Arecont does NOT come with lenses and you will need 2 of them..... You can't go wrong with the M12 or 3135. Biggest difference between them is you can change lenses on the Arecont and Mobotix is a total solution with built-in NVR and doesn't need a housing. Both give great nigh time images for Megapixel cameras.
