How did the zoom work? Does it need refocusing when you zoom in or does it work like a ptz? Sony's DH140 is quite nice but the zoom function is only usable when installing. Software driven optical zoom and auto focus are for set up only. From the cut sheet: "An integrated fully motorized lens provides remote zoom and focus for easy installation and unsurpassed image quality." That is disappointing you can't use the zoom and focus for full use. I just emailed them for more info and to find out what it takes to become a dealer. I really like the software so I can't what to hear back from them. -

I have not install the Sanyo PTZ but I have seen video and the image is amazing. This is from Axis's site: "AXIS Q6034-E provides 18x optical and 12x digital zoom with autofocus. Due to its HDTV resolution, the camera's 18x zoom provides not only a level of detail that is comparable to a 36x-zoom, 4CIF camera, but also the extra advantage of a wider, 16:9 field of view."

Portable self contained cctv package.

I build my own custom Pelican case with Wifi for access point or PTP link, Exacq NVR, Axis encoder for a mini covert camera or PTZ and I can also use Megapixel cameras. It will all run on battery for about 24 hours and is the size of a briefcase. Got the idea from this: -
They both have the same zoom when it is all said and done. Also look at Sanyo's 1080P PTZ http://www.axis.com/products/cam_q6034e/video/index.htm

User Comments on the MVL10 2.4 GHz Wireless Video Link
thewireguys replied to dynaco's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.... If you have you go wireless use IP and encoders. I was working with a customer that had that setup and it would not work with any 2.4 Wifi in the area. Just not a reliable product with everything going on it 2.4 or 5.8. If you have use use it do I site survey and pray that on one adds an access point in the future at your location. -

ACTi ACM & TCM 3511 convoluted design
thewireguys replied to 3RDIGLBL's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Acti is a basic camera so your expecting to much. There new cameras look real good for low light but they are $1000 and that is the price point for the best low light MP has to offer. -

Have any of you tested to see of the ports are blocked by your ISP? If you have a Res account every ISP that I have worked with blocks ports and this will be your problem there is nothing you can do besides change the ports you are using to unblocked ports or switch to biz class ISP. -

I just upgraded to the latest last night and it still doesn't go full screen. I am going to give them a call today. -
I just got the Grandstream GXV3140 to test out with my Q24. Does anyone have any how-to's to set them up directly without a PBX? Also any good VOIP system info would be great.
