Axis 209MFD & MFDR; P1346-E & Q1755-E

Even full-framerate uncompressed video has to follow the laws of physics, and the simple fact is, the higher the resolution, the smaller the pixes, the less light-gathering capability, which has to be compensated for somewhere else... either by better image processing, or slower shutter speeds. I really don't consider those locations dark/low light. I can understand that the gamings can be very difficult but even the fast food place is not good.

How to wire an AXIS T90A20 IR-LED
thewireguys replied to ger42's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/acc_t90a/index.htm Here are the instructions. If these can't help hire a professional installer. You are dealing with high voltage enough to seriously hurt you and/or kill you. This in not a do it your self product. -
Holy motion blur batman!!! Please tell me this isn't the best you can do. I have seen cheap Chinese crap with better images then this. I have access to a live demo of a 720P HDcctv camera and it is no better then this, not impressed at all.

VMS software with dual stream capabilities
thewireguys posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Looking to see what options are available for recording and viewing at different resolutions with multi streaming cameras. -
HDcctv reminds me of HDMI. Great idea but still a pain in the ass.
-
I think HDcctv will be good for the guys afraid of IP but for how long can you ignore IP before you are left if the dust. So what happens when you need more then 1080P? Also I thought one of the major selling points of HDcctv was that you didn't need to re-cable, but I keep reading and talking to people that they are having problems with rg-59.

VMS software with dual stream capabilities
thewireguys replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I think we are talking about 2 different thing The way I understand OP is talking about soft lots of camera on market can have multi stream but not a lots of soft which can support it Right ? Yeah, I don't think we're talking about the same thing either... I wasn't talking about using the camera's dual stream. I was talking about recording at full res on the server, and then the server streams out over the internet/ network at a much lower quality, or whatever percentage of the original quality you'd prefer. The Sanyo's have dual streaming Axis has many streams. With Axis P1346 you can setup View Area so one profile would be 3MP 2048x1526 15FPS Mjpeg and the second stream would be 320X240 5 FPS h.264. What is nice with the Axis camera is with the second stream you see the full image but only at 320x 240 and you can zoom in/out of the full resolution of the image. But what I what to do is record at 4MP and view on the client at CIF not lower reduced resolution of the 4MP image. Axis P1346 example 3MP Stream one CIF Full Stream Two CIF Middle Stream Two CIF IN Stream Two -
New Consumer IP Cameras from Logitech
thewireguys replied to Voipmodo's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
What is the difference if the camera is powered with a power adapter or POE? If the power goes out so does the camera and your network. I have used Aboundi and I can say it really does work. But yes you can have phase issues. http://www.aboundi.com/Product/PLC/ElectricConnect.html -
VMS software with dual stream capabilities
thewireguys replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yup. Works pretty good... What would be cooler is you stream low rez for the full image but could digitally zoom in to a certain part for more detail and see as much detail in that cropped image as the original rez. Like Avigilon, only send the pixels needed. The Axis P 1346 can do this with stream profiles. This is one of the reasons I was asking about taking advantage of this. -

I just dropped my hosted exchange for a paid Google Apps account and so far I love it. I would like to know how people are using Google Apps with there business and how it improved your productivity. Also do you have any cool ideas that would help in the cctv install business using the forms, video and sites. thanks guys
-
Yeah I realize you covered that in the previous post, so all the personal data is stored on their servers online. I got it buddy took you long enough
-
uhhh, we were talking about the main computer where the data is stored over the internet, so like yeah at the clients location their computer is working. Your computer doesn't need to be on to access your files
-
Well the idea is flawed big time IMO. How will they get their data when the internet is down, or power is off, or the persons home computer is not running? Not to mention the security risks of leaving a folder on your computer shared to the internet. There is no replacement for a portable USB hard drive, definately not yet. As for jump drives, I hardly ever use a jump drive these days, except for video backup fro. m DVRs. Most people I know are using Portable HDDs now also. Well your computer doesn't have to be on to get your data... internet in the states isn't normally a problem and if it is I have access to all my files on my phone which I can download and install on the computer using my phone. BTW my customers are installing IP cameras so they have internet and this isn't a problem. I don't have to word about forgeting you hard drive or jumpdrive at home or losing it some where... Anyway back to Google Apps
-
The idea behind Dropbox is to replace jump drives
-
Rory, Dropbox installs the folders in My Documents folder and will sync them between any computer you have Dropbox installed on. Also you don't have to install it on more then one computer because you can log into your Dropbox on any computer thought the web interface. You can also share folders with friends and or send links though email to download to people that don't have Dropbox. you also have apps for your iPhone/iPad and Andriod so you can see your contents on your mobile devices. Which I find very hand for PDF manuals.
-
When I fill up my free 8gigs then I will start to pay
-
rory try dropbox it is very handy
-
Yea i am also a big fan of dropbox. I use it every day and i am thinking about upgrading to the pay on also. I load all my manuals a folder then I can use my Ipad to view them when I need them in the field. My Dropbox link click here get more free space when you sign up for a new account. https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTMwMTY4Nzk5 How do you guys use the Forms in Goolge Apps? If you don't know what Forms are watch this video.
