Need a ethernet over coax converter that does POE

Really happy with http://www.vigitron.com/ They even have a 2-wire with POE solution -
Software which supports doorstation and ip camera's
thewireguys replied to control4all's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
So is this the whole system or are you connecting to a larger system? It sounds like a 2 door video intercom system is what you need? Paxton does have a SIP video door entry system that might do what you need H_TJYnAZ_a8 -

Sure how about a 29MP camera that can do what you want. What is your budget? -

40-60 Camera System; Advice Needed on Camera and DVR
thewireguys replied to lakesarecool's topic in System Design
Just remember you get what you pay for and there is a reason some VMS software is free. I would also recommend you order the cameras from a authorized US distributor and don't order direct from China. Hikvision is starting to shut this supply chain down, lock the firmware and will not support these cameras in the US. A 40 - 60 camera IP system is not a small system and if this is your first time installing one you will need support at some point. -
Avigilon Technical Problem
thewireguys replied to helix-security's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
This is going to be your problem "80 m/s, so not the best." The video should stream fine but PTZ controls will be rough. I would recommend setting up PTZ resets for the remote location to use. You will have a lot better results then trying to PT the camera over a connection like that. -
Avigilon Technical Problem
thewireguys replied to helix-security's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
What are your ping times from your remote location to the sit with the recorder? I would be very interested to see the quality of the 1MB/.5MB link What are the bandwidth settings for each channel of the encoders? FYI you can change the display quality of your remote client only which will not effect the recorded video. @ Remote Client > Client settings > Display> Change Display Quality (High is the default) Another option would be to use the HTML5 web interface. As it trans codes the video for lower bandwidth connections. -
Cisco switches and Avigilon
thewireguys replied to Maniek's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
What fiber are you using? We had a similar issue with a customer where the fiber plant was 52/125 but one of the patch cables was 62/125. Couple of cameras on the switch worked fine but then when we added more cameras we had random network issues. Once the patch was switched to 52/125 it worked like a champ. -
The unit is from Dynacolor but multible manufactures OEM it. http://www.dynacolor.com.tw/prodDetail.asp?id=92 Use this so you don't need extension cords http://www.veracityglobal.com/products/ip-camera-installation-tools/pointsource.aspx

Good luck.... The main unit that I know of gets very bad reviews from installers. Best option is laptop + POE with battery

Cisco switches and Avigilon
thewireguys replied to Maniek's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Really hard to troubleshoot this without a network layout. I can tell you have have much larger systems using all Cisco 500 series switches without issues and I all have 700+ camera systems with HP switches without issues. -

Avigilon vs Sony?
thewireguys replied to what-da's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have to say I am very impressed with the analytics in Avigilon's H3a cameras. Snowing like crazy and only recording when people or cars are in the FOV. -
Avigilon vs Sony?
thewireguys replied to what-da's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I think the WDR in the Vivotek is good but since the FOVs are different you can't compare the details in the image. -
Avigilon vs Sony?
thewireguys replied to what-da's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It looks good because there are more pixels on target because of the tighter FOV -

Why is the FOV tighter on the Vivotek? -

Sensors for xprotect or similar for trip and motion?
thewireguys replied to pounce's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
With Avigilon we can use this unit from Moxa to add trigger I/O to the system if we need more than what the cameras can provide. Another option is to get a cheap encoder which has trigger I/O. Most of the 4 channel encoders have 4 inputs / 4 outputs http://store.moxa.com/a/product/iologik-e2210-series?id=M20090324001 I would check Milestones supported list and see what network I/O devices they work with. -
Planet IP Cameras - Improvements?
thewireguys replied to cr128's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Do you have a link for where you can buy such a PC (or parts if you built it yourself)? I've never seen any that small. Thin clients yeah, but not actual PCs that can run full blown Windows and CCTV monitoring software. Here you go Intel NUC http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=nuc&N=100006668&isNodeId=1 Gigabyte Brix http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=gigabyte+brix&N=-1&isNodeId=1
