IP camera manufactorer from Taiwan
thewireguys replied to hammouda's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I will say it again IP cameras are no good without VMS support. It's nice that you give free NVR software with your cameras but most professional installs don't use it. -
Think were are gonna have a pricing war

I have one of there rugged Ptz's on my desk. All metal housing and overall a nice camera. We are looking at it to mount on vehicles.

Suky go away and stop giving false information. RJNMYC - What manufactures IP cameras did you get? We need to know this before we can recommend recording solution. Also you will need a hybrid DVR or a NVR for the IP cameras a standard DVR is for analog cameras only.

Mobotix discussion

I was with my Arecont Rep the other day and I was asking about this camera. You can set it up as a 10MP camera or a 1080p camera and they are using the same binning technology that Panasonic is using but Arecont can do h.264 in all modes unlike Panasonic. So in 10MP mode you will get 10MP day and around 2.5 MP at night. In 1080P mode you get 1080P day and I think 720P at night all with h.264. -
Ipad screen resolution is 1024x728....

Arecont Cameras Software
thewireguys replied to serverguy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
There arn`t a lot of settings to do Why dont you tell honestly that Arecont does motion blur like hell? Combine that with some F1.6 or F1.8 50m lense - oh yes, what a great image will we have What do you use to setup the Arecont camera? The web interface or AV100? I am sorry but I have payed alot of money and spent alot time testing, training, and demoing IP cameras and NVR software and I am not going to give that information out for free anymore. Take the Arecont class and you will learn alot. -
s/w that handles H.264 ?
thewireguys replied to metafizx's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions

Arecont Cameras Software
thewireguys replied to serverguy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I must disagree with Robert. The dual sensor cameras are very good in low light. I think it is a toss up between the Mobotix m12 and the Arecont 3130/3135 for the best low light performance of megapixel cameras. Also the other d/n Arecont cameras are good in low light if you know how to set them up properly. I find that most of the people that complain about Arecont cameras don't know how to set them up correctly. -

MP and low light - any side-by-side comparisons?
thewireguys replied to Soundy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Thanks! The Basler cameras look amazing... how's their price point compared to the others? Expensive. It very high quality and made in Germany, like Mobotix. 1600x1200, 2mpix, true day/night, incl. lens DC-Iris-IR 1.4/10- 40mm, 1250Eur/1685$ MSRP. Their software is also woow. You can do all setting via IE. After Basler, next one as you saw comes IQ 752 in terms of image quality. I have a Basler 1300 day night on my desk forsale if any one wants one. What software are you talking about? -
