  1. I would recommend you use a 3G router.... something like this http://www.cradlepoint.com/
  2. Are you asking if you can connect the 3G to your DVR and connect to the net so you can remote view the DVR?

    Underground Cabling

I would recommend you install conduit and then you can decide what cables you want to use later. Also the wires will be protected and you can upgrade down the line.

    Mobotix password reset

They can't do it at training they have to take the camera apart.

    Mobotix password reset

The other reason Mobotix does this because the local storage. If someone steals the camera and you are recording to the SD card you can not view the images without the password even if you pull the SD card out and put it in another camera.

  13. I would also agree the Q24 is great camera but if you need to cover 2 different areas it will not work. Yes the Vivotek has local SD recording but it is nothing like the Mobotix solution. With Vivotek you will be looking though folders to find the images you are looking for which can be very tedious and time consuming. Mobotix has NVR software that uses the SD cards as storage location and/or you can use the web browser. Also none of the cameras you listed are rated for outdoor use without a housing so don't forget to add that into your price. I would recommend the ACTi-4201 indoors and the ACTi-4711 or ACTi-1231 for outside. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=20564

  21. Why do you want to use this camera? Do you know anything about Mobotix? It is a great product but I recommend you play around with it before you install it because Mobotix cameras can do more then any other cameras on the market.

  24. Exacq will do this without a problem but it is not compatible with your IP cameras..... I don't know any NVR software that will work with the cameras you selected.
