I picked it a Cisco ASA firewall and this going to be a challenge I have been looking for a "Cisco for dummys" book but I haven't been able to find anything that I liked yet. I was over a B&N the other day and picked up a Haking9 mag and it is just what I am looking for. Very basic "tell me what it is and tell me why I need to use it".

Cisco 4000 series cameras and NVR system
thewireguys replied to woodyads's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
From what I have heard and demos I have seen from the cameras. Cisco makes good networking gear, use it but compare their cameras to other products out there and you will see what I mean. -
I am just going to keep this on topic because I appreciate everything both Rory and Soundy contribute to this forum even though there are time we have disagreed on subjects. Hardwired..... Where is the best place to get more knowledge on wireless systems? books or websites? thanks it would be a big help

Does the (+ and - Size) work for you guys.... in the web browser? Before I would reduce the size of the image but now it looks like it adjusts the image quality. -
exacqVision 4.0 web server
thewireguys replied to cglaeser's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
And it works without ActiveX so it works on every browser and web enabled phone...... no plugs into install -
Anybody have any experience with them? Do they have a 485 or 232 input so we can control the cameras with a encoder or DVR? Does the controller have a video out put so we can stream or record the video and how is the image quality? http://www.rvisionusa.com/company.html

An Open Letter to Exacq
thewireguys replied to cglaeser's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
You can and they do, the problem is Exacq changes the time zone to 0 in the cameras. And once again I would like to point out that this does not effect the recording Exacq runs fine it is just the cameras built-in events that are based on time are effected. -
