Mobotix is the only product (that I know of) that has built in VOIP support. They are MP IP cameras with built in DVRs. http://www.mobotix.com

I found this interesting on 60 Minutes. They did a piece on the system Boeing is designing and installing. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=6078904n&tag=api

Mobotix Q24 Demo
thewireguys replied to bpzle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
As a Mobotix rep I would suggest that you let them know that there are probably many potential customers who will not make a decision on purchasing their product without first being able to access a live demo. For those of us looking for just two or three cameras, it may be a small price in Mobotix's eyes (thus to not warrant setting up a demo model), but $2-4K is a significant investment for these clients. In my opinion, it's those small, but happy customers, that lead to positive word of mouth that wind up letting the company get the big deals later down the road. I would strongly recommend ordering one for a hands on demo. There is so much these cameras can do and you really should try them out before you sell on to a customer. I do have the MxControl center demo DVD with video from a 180 camera. I could send it to you -

Mobotix Q24 Demo
thewireguys replied to bpzle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I don't know why Mobotix doesn't have a demo but I know it isn't because of bandwidth. Mobotix cameras are the most versatile cameras I have ever seen. You can set them up to record full res images and stream CIF if you want. I posted images in the thread above with the lux levels. -

I just tried a Androd phone with Exacq and it worked great even with megapixel cameras over the cell network.

Could you supply EPOS resellers with a CCTV solution?
thewireguys replied to EPOS MAN's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Why don't you partner up with a CCTV company to do the work for you? -
I saw that, but does it really measure to four significant digits? Specifically, can it really measure down to 0.01 lux? Best, Christopher I have no way of proving it but mine reads down to .01 lux.

IP Systems and Remote Viewing
thewireguys replied to davidc304's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Remote live viewing will always be choppy doesn't matter if you use IP or DVR. There just isn't enough bandwidth there for 15+ FPS on one camera let alone 4 8 16 cameras. What resolution is he trying to stream? I just demo'd IC Realtime DVRs and they had full motion remotely, but I don't know what there upload speed was. http://icrealtime.com/index.asp I can put you in contact with a guy if you want more info. -
Wow check out these videos. http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/local_news/new_jersey/100105-newark-airport-breach-faulty-camera-system "the TSA is spending millions to upgrade video surveillance at the nation's airports" Anybody know someone with the TSA? I would like to drop off my business card

I would love to know!! The cameras stopped working December 28th and I keep reading "the cameras where streaming but not recording" so I bet they are IP cameras with NVR software. Here is the story. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,582106,00.html http://www.1010wins.com/Newark-Airport-Cameras-Faulty-During-Security-Brea/6044529 http://abcnews.go.com/Travel/newark-airports-security-cameras-broken-slowed-tsa-security/story?id=9484216

I would like to hear everyone's ideas on Video Analytics. Have you used/installed them? Did they work correctly? What manufacture did you use? Here are some demo video's from IOImage. http://www.ioimage.com/?p=Demos&ClusterID=0&TreeParentID=861&MainCategory=444&ParentID=642

Video Analytics
thewireguys replied to thewireguys's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I'm interested in two analytics in particular. 1. Is a video motion alarm due to a car driving by or a person walking by? 2. Exceptionally good (i.e. human-like) PTZ that follows a person and zooms in and out to maximize facial recognition. ioimage has marketing videos that demonstrate both of these, but I'd be interested to know if real-world situations hold up to the marketing claims. Best, Christopher Edit: PS: Most DVRs/NVRs only record without any video analytics, but a few (Blue Iris ???) do some video analytics. Are there any others, and do they perform well? http://www.aimetis.com/ You can download a 60 day full demo. But I found their software not very easy to use and you can only run like 10-16 cameras per Xeon server when you use the video analytics. www.isscctv.com is another. But the IOImage stuff looks really good. -

I spoke with IoImage and I like there product. I am going to order either the PTZ or the D1 encoder, I haven't decided yet. -
exacqVision System Setup Bandwidth Settings
thewireguys replied to cglaeser's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hardwired is correct. The "Bandwidth Settings" only effects the outbound bandwidth to the client software. It does nothing to the inbound traffic from the cameras. -
