  5. The Arecont 3130/3135 will give the best low light quality. Order one or two on your list and test them out.

    areconts

the custom exposure zone setup is in the AV100 software that came on the little cd with the camera. Also when your done making changes make sure you save to the firmware. I have never had a problems with the Arecont camera line. Customers love the image quality, the on camera motion detection is very good, and I don't have any motion blur when I am done setting them up. I just must be lucky or I just payed attention in class

  10. I was reading one of my security magazines and I came across VideoNext NVR software. They are the only NVR software that I know of that recording (Server) runs on MAC OS. I know people have been asking about NVR software for MAC so here it is....... http://www.videonext.com I wounder if the client software runs on Windows or Linux?
  11. To bad a Mac server is twice as much as a Windows, Linux box.

    WIRELESS IP CCTV

Ubiquiti has great products and so does Engenius. The pricing seams "to good to be true" but they are the real deal. contact http://www.streakwave.com/
  13. The Acti camera uses a photocell for day/night switching and you can't adjust the level at which it switches at.

    Advice on acti 7411

My 1231 doesn't do it... just the 7411. Aren't they supposed to be the same camera in a different form factor? Maybe I'll try using the 1231's firmware in the 7411. Same firmware

    Advice on acti 7411

This is what happens to the 7411 and 1231 with the new firmware and Exacq Vision. I have to default the camera to get the image back to normal.

    Does anyone have a demo?

    What is Full D1 compression?

D1 is a resolution. 704x576 (TV PAL) 704x480 (TV NTSC) MJpeg, Mpeg-4 and h.264 are compressions.
  21. I recommend Exacq...... It's works great on a Atom and supports Windows, Linux, Mac, Windows mobile, Blackberry and Iphone. This 8 channel mini is around $2000 plus hard drives, iPhone app and it is limited to 8 cameras. You could build a Atom Exacq NVR with licenses for less then that easy.
  22. I have been building Atom based NVRs for awhile and they use about 30-40watts. The trick is using the correct NVR software..... I have install the Mini's and they are nice but you can build a Atom NVR with software licenses for cheaper, also the Mini will not work with the Iphone.
  23. For recording directly to a NAS Mobotix is the way to go...... Yes Axis will FTP images to folders for recording but Mobotix does that behind the scenes. When you look at recorded images stored on the NAS with the Mobotix you will be looking a GUI interface unlike Axis and Panasonic. According to the specs on the IP7330 it does support "Event notification using HTTP, SMTP, or FTP" but Mobotix is the way to go with NAS. All of Mobotix cameras are outdoor rated and if you don't need B/W you could go with the M24.
