Enterprise level systems. What's your favorite?
thewireguys replied to bpzle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
And that is without the lens I was told there is a indoor stadium that uses 12 of the 16MP cameras for facial recognition in every seat in the building. Wounder how many analog cameras it would take to do that -

dude..... I never said you don't know what your taking about . I was simply explaining if you want the best image quality on the market right now Avigilon is the only option and that their cameras only work with their software. -

disable alarm input with keyfob? output relay -> 110v lig
thewireguys replied to limesec's topic in System Design
Don't use camera motion. I missed the Cartell magnetic sensor. Why is the camera triggering the light? Why not the magnetic sensor? Best, Christopher Yea.... Every Cartell I ever installed had a 110volt relay in the control box and a low voltage relay for automation. Real easy to hook up to a camera and control a light. -

CCTV_Suppliers I am gonna assume you don't know anything about Avigilon. Their cameras are what make the system so great and they only work with there software. They are the only ip cameras that use 35 mm sensors and SLK lens. Their cameras are the best and most expensive. I did hear there entry level stuff is reasonably priced Here is an image from one of there cameras: -
Where does the 5mm spacer go?
thewireguys replied to TVEngineer77's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Yes I am a little bitter when I spend alot of time with a customer helping them design a system which they no nothing about then the end user purchases directly from a distributor. I think everyone in business does. If another dealer would have beaten my price I would not care. -

Normally I would help you with this but since you purchased directly from a distributor as an end user, I recommend you call them and try to get support. -

ACTi ACM-7411 anyone with night shots?

ACTi ACM-7411 anyone with night shots?
thewireguys replied to 3RDIGLBL's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I don't know I have not tried it but from what I am told it is the same guts as the Acti 1231. My major complaint with the 4711 and all ACTI cameras is the window based motion detection it takes time to get it setup correctly for day/night setups -

thewireguys replied to 3RDIGLBL's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
The ACM3401 does not have a mechanical cut off filter..... That is why it is not good in the dark. I think the 4711 is priced well -

Arecont is the clear winner (my flood light came on for this shot) 3130DN day imager Made some adjustments to the Basler. Upped the Sharpness from 20 (default) to 80 and Gamma from 100 to 130 and the Exposure offset to -30. -

wonder if that will be 3mp or 1.3mp? -
surprised to see a CMOS sensor in that

What errors are you getting and what email are you trying to use? What you’ll find is that any account you use which requires SSL authentication such as a web-based email account (gmail etc.) won’t work as the camera doesn’t support it. I just used my ISPs smtp server without any log info and it worked fine on port 25

No contrast on the Arecont and the basler needs a MP lens but I don't think it's going to get that much better. I have a f1.0 lens I am going to try but once again it's not a MP lens. -

Arecont 3130 with manual 50s exposure setting -
With the 54MB your real world throughput is about half that and that is you have line-of-site to the cameras. The farther away and the more stuff you have in-between the more it drops.
