    Mobotix cameras with images

(1/1) second = 1 second exposure setting slow video (1/60) second = 16.6666667 milliseconds not slow video The camera has a range from 1/1 to 1/8000 and you can set maximum and minimum manually or you can let the camera decide on the available lux level.
  2. What cameras did you order?
  3. Day will be fine but your night time images will suffer and forget about adding IR. Why do professionals install cameras sell cameras with out cut filters? cheap customers that shop only for price and don't care what the image quality is (think about that for second ) But if you want good night time images you need true day/night cameras or you could install some color only cameras and then some b/w only cameras but could increase your overall system cost.

    Mobotix cameras with images

Mobotix doesn't have shutter adjustments 0.1 lux (t=1/60s) • 0.005 lux (t=1/1s) is what you get
  7. Thanks, Im not impressed, I will search for another software. At first, I was a little startled by you not liking Exacq... But then I thought back to when I first tried Exacq, and my impression wasn't that good at first, either. Not sure why, maybe, it just seemed really...plain, I guess, and the playback was a little odd. It wasn't until after Milestone's round of price hikes a while back, I looked at it again, and really spent some time working with it, and really began to like it. Now, it's becoming neck and neck between Milestone and Exacq, for me. The ability to view multiple sites, and control settings on all through the GUI, isn't in Milestone until you get to a product level that is over FOUR times the cost per channel. And now that Milestone is asking for all end user information on every install with their product (I assume to avoid us reselling it wholesale, but it still makes me nervous giving all of my customer info to a vendor who could give my business to another integrator), It is pushing me even more towards Exacq. Maybe, just spend a little more time with it. Try out the digital PTZ control with a joystick, and the digital PTZ presets, and the ExacqRecall feature( the hospital I just installed it at love those features), and they liked the GUI and controls as much or more than the DVR's we've had in there for years. I have to agree with Hardwired. It does seam alittle plain when you first use it but after you understand how it works it is very powerfull. The help feature is very convenient and it will run on very lite machines.
  8. Axis M7001 http://www.axis.com/products/cam_m7001/index.htm and what ever analog camera you like

Then it wasn't setup right. What was the Exposure Time set to? The range is 1/8000 to 1/1. Did you have the camera set the the left lens? Only the left lens can see IR. This camera can and will see without motion bur at night. I have seen it with my own eyes.

    New Axis products

They have great products but they are to expensive and they are no good in low light. To be honest I only use there PTZs and encoders unless I need the bells and whistles. The O/I and Audio Module looks interesting and could come in handy.
  13. You are the first person that has said something positive about Acti's software

Arecont 3130/3135 Mobotix M12/D12 Both way less then $2000 and they can see at night. I would stay away from Axis if you need low light performance.
  15. Thanks, Im not impressed, I will search for another software. What don't you like?
  16. I just got one in for testing. It is very small and easy to setup. Only problem I had so far is with the web log in. After I input my user name and password it would go to a new page "Page cannot be found". I did this in IE but not with Firefox. You can access the setup with Firefox but you can't see any video so it only works with IE. After a couple of tries it work correctly and has been since. Also so everyone knows you only have 2 options for recording, all the time or motion on camera. The miniNVRs do not have motion detection built in.
  17. I just downloaded the new release 3.6 and it pulls video much fast over the network and they added the Smart Search which is handy. Really easy to ungraded just install over top your previous version. The hardest part was finding the current version that I was running.
  18. I have installed the 6111 but it is now sitting on my work bench replaced it with an ACTi... Never a big fan of there product even and ISC I went though there both and I even said to the one girl that the images where not that good.
  19. I am gonna recommend the Acti because I have installed them and I know they work and they are cheaper. Also if you want POE support you would want the 4201. The 4200 is the same camera with out POE.

H.264 and IP/megapixel cameras works flawlessly ..... I never use a capture card with h.264 so I can't speak for them. I use IP H.264 encoders and they work fine.
  21. It will work for a while but not for ever box cameras need to be install in housings with heaters/blowers when installed outdoors. Not necessarily with heater/blowers... that depends largely on the location and temperatures. I have cameras that have been in simple weatherproof housings for close to a decade without problems. Domes like the one you show are fine if they're out of the weather (like under the eaves), but a bigger problem they have is that bugs can get inside too easily - spiders, flies, bees, etc. That housing is IP66 rated "Designed to be water and dust tight, IP66"
