    .5 Lux Lighting ?

    3130 night shots
  3. By-the-way...where are those night Arecont demo's!!! I know you had 'em set up yesterday.... It's not dark yet
  4. No..... I know most Axis cameras have it built in........ also keep in mind the all motion detection is done on the cameras
  5. Acti and Arecont for megaixel. Axis for PTZ, and Mobotix for the custom stuff..... We are happy and so our are customers. Now if I could only find NVR software that I am happy with
  6. Thanks TWG! So reliability wise and up to spec performance ACTi stands tall? I was hoping so..... I wasn't expecting much from ACTI but I have been happy for the budget minded customers.
  7. I haven't used Sony cameras but I have installed ACTI. The 4201 1.3 megapixel with POE for around $250 great product for the price.
  8. Veracity is coming out with a product that will help with this. You take this device and plug in to the camera then you take your network drop with POE and plug it into the device. Finally you plug your network port from your laptop into the last port of the Veracity piece allowing you to power the camera with POE from your switch and view your camera locally. I can't find the product on there web site but I saw it when I was at Arecont training.
  9. Save yourself some trouble and replace the switch. Soundy is correct switching to 12/24v is not going to fix your problem.
  10. D-oh! Well I am assuming that he is using Axis and Pelco encoders to get the Analog cameras in the network. Also ExacqVision has Hybrid Servers so he could sell the encoders to offset the cost. One server at each location and he can log in with the client software and view all of the cameras in the same interface.

    .5 Lux Lighting ?

It is a Linksys SRW208MP and it works great.... none of the cameras I have used with it come close to using the full 15watts. My only complaint is the web interface is slow.

    .5 Lux Lighting ?

    working on it
  13. or you could use a 3rd party NVR software like ExacqVision

    .5 Lux Lighting ?

Make you a deal I will get some demo images up for you have if you decide to buy the camera you order it from me.... is that fair? I'll be very honest with you...with the cost of that camera and then having to buy two lenses, I seriously doubt I can sell one of those to my current client-base. But, if you did convince me...and I could sell one...I would buy it from you as long as I can't find it for 5% cheaper elsewhere. Fair enough? If not, I'm sure it won't be long before someone comes along here that has one and is willing to post just to help others out and because the mfg's don't....like Glen. Thewireguys, where you at? Was this not a satisfactory offer? Get those 3130 night demo's up...!! Sorry man I am working on it. I love coming on this web site but sometimes I have to do real work or hang out with the boss.... aka wife

    Sanyo VCC-HD4000

Does it come with client software to manage more then one camera like Mobotix or do you have to log into each camera individually? Not being able to stream mpeg-4 or h.264 doesn't make any sense. Streaming and storing a 4 megapixal image in mjpeg will be very expensive and limit the number of cameras you can use on the network.

    Sanyo VCC-HD4000

So this camera can only stream mjpeg?
  17. why bother with 3130 if u have enough light ? I was talking about IR light sorry.
  18. With proper IR lighting you should have no problem eliminating motion blur..... set the low light mode to speed or high speed if you have enough light. On the 3130 to can manually set the exposures from 1-10ms on the 3105 you can set it 1-80ms. Did you know Arecont cameras can do more then 60FPS?

    .5 Lux Lighting ?

Hmm look very carefully at 1231 and 5601 under good light in his garage for example at vacuum cleaner box 1231 kinda sucks low light agree 1231 is better Yes I'm mostly stuck on the low light performance. I'm presently using Sanyo VCC-HD4000 . it is a beautiful camera and can even reliably read license plates on cars travelling 45 mph at 140 yards and 30 degree angle. But at night it sucks...period. Now I am trying for clean night vision upto 20 yards with facial recognition. These comparisons are very usefull as I've all but given up on analog cameras for this application. The new Acti 1.3 MP CCD camera looks like it may fit the bill.. Look at the Arecont 3130..... Probably the best low light performance of any megapixel camera..... much better then ACTI

Strange question of the day: Why coax cable?

The Axis Q1755 has component video output at 1080i and 720p. Besides a spot monitor I don't really have a use for it. http://www.axis.com/files/datasheet/ds_q1755_35818_en_0905_lo.pdf
  24. May I trouble you to ask what kind of DVR's\NVR's you used in this instance? I was thinking about the 4ch NUUO mini. Any thoughts, good or bad there? thanks so much!! I have install 2 NUUO MiniNVRS and so far so good. My only major complain is the bandwidth limitation, 20megs on the 4 channnel, 30 megs on the 8 channel and 22 on the 16 channel. I have run 4 1.3 megpixel ACTi cameras without a problem but one Arecont 3130 can over load the 4 channel Mini. If you are going to have 8 cameras I would recommend you go with the 8 channel version so you don't have to use the client software to view multiple mini's.
